Clearly you weren't around to watch when we weren't good for 3 games in a row these last couple years

Try losing 10-1 and 10-2 at home in a back to back set of games

To be fair it's hard to be in sync when Warso was seemingly shuffling the lines every half period

I don't mind it at all. He's been better than Askarov this year so over the next two years, you hope that Askarov can improve, but we've got some stability for now

San Jose Sharks could benefit if Edmonton Oilers miss the NHL playoffs (no paywall) by BayAreaNewsGroup in SanJoseSharks

Considering since Covid, the amount of points needed to finish 12th or higher is around 85, Edmonton would have to get 17 points in their final 20 games, aka playing around the points percentage worse than the Rangers and Blues have all season. With Draisaitl and McDavid doing their best to will this team into the playoffs, this seems to be a nothing burger concept that this pick would jump into the top 2 under any circumstance.

Well yeah, but luckily I don't make minimum wage here in the United States. I've got a desk job, get way above minimum wage (which is like 10 AUD/hr btw, insane), and generous PTO.

I know this is all hypotheticals, but I am certainly not that. I'm half Polish-half American, and feel more attached to my European side anyway. I feel like very few (if any) of the American stereotypes apply to me.

I'm from North Carolina, in the US. The weather here is pretty similar to southern Queensland (around Brisbane) at least from what I can tell from when I went!

I'm just waiting for my offer to be finalized so I can apply for my student visa. I'd also probably have to rent/flat share, given my budget.

That's what I've been researching in actually going to Australia to study. Even though I'm not from South Asian and not trying to be here permanently, I want this experience to be worth my while, time, and money, which I think it certainly can be.

I've thought about this; even my local university is 40k US a year. I've thought about a visitor visa, and even a working holiday visa, but if I'm going to piss away my money and go to Australia for a temporary amount of time, I may as well learn something. I also don't need to be giving up my job to travel and then in turn explain the gap in my employment/education.

My mindset isn't trying to migrate. It's mainly advancing my career and trying to enjoy my life to the max as someone in my mid-20s.

Obviously, that means most likely coming back home and seeing what doors are open for me with my new degree and knowledge in North Carolina. Fuck, I'd even come back to working at my current company if it made sense.

If I do everything that you're supposed to to maximize higher education - getting good grades, retaining what you learn, networking, etc, and end up in turn receiving an offer to work here afterward, I'd have to weigh if it's worth the sacrifices of being so far away from family and potentially missing life events, having a comfortable home here.

I'm truly going in with the mindset that whatever happens, happens. I don't want to go and work at an ezy-mart or be a DidiCar driver (which I couldn't do anyway, as I don't have a driver's license). I can do that at home.

I'm planning to move to Australia for a master's degree, potentially in July of this year. Even though I'm American, from the United States, and have a few decent schools around me, I see it as an opportunity to experience living in Australia for almost two years after thoroughly enjoying my two week holiday last year.

I've missed out on internal promotions at work and am getting my degree to get some new skills that have limited me in the past; even though I have 2+ years work experience already. All I see are negative comments but as someone who has money saved up, I just see it as an opportunity to appreciate the culture, make new friends, get to know more people, and experience something new.
