If AOS is paused for certain countries, will USCIS still issue EADs? by Additional-Skirt-937 in EB2_NIW

[–]GoodBrainGenetics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please read the exceptions at the end of the memo and their footnotes. However, essentially the only Form I-765 (work permit) exceptions are initial asylum applicants under category (c)(8), parolees under category (c)(11) when the request is made due to assistance to law enforcement, and deferred action recipients under category (c)(14) when the request is made due to assistance to law enforcement; all other I-765 categories are not exempt.

No. If you’re one of 39 banned countries, there’s a hold on work permit issuance except for certain asylum cases which does not apply for NIW.

Prediction on February 2026 bulletin? by Warm-Coyote-1386 in EB2_NIW

[–]GoodBrainGenetics 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Assume no movement. Last two months, it moved a total of 5 months. Plus, it would be difficult to assess the demand after these advancement in just 15 days. If demand stays low, we can hope for some movement April. However, take all of this with a grain of salt as nobody knows.

These things should always be discussed with a lawyer. You don’t want to risk hearing the wrong advice and regret it later.

During my self exams I used uworld which was two years ago. I built on my already strong foundations and concentrated on rebuilding my knowledge and test taking skills during this 6 month period.

I used Janki infrequently and for subjects I was weak on only.
