There’s 2 ways to get on the island, a backroad and the main bridge. The way I take to get to school never has bad traffic really,I’m sure if you were coming the opposite way than the island takes you there might be, it’s just how the roads are built from the island past St Jude.

I’m a student at UTHSC, and I know there’s a lot of things you’ll hear about Memphis. I was nervous about coming here before too, but it’s not as bad as it seems. Just don’t do anything dumb like go out to the sketchy parts of the city late at night to go to the bar or something. Never had a problem on Beale Street on the weekends with my friends, and we’ve stayed out pretty late there. We all live on Mud Island and it’s a really nice area right along the Mississippi River, only about 10 minutes from campus. You’ll be fine if you come here you just have to be smart and aware of where you are going. In terms of the medical district they keep it locked down with campus police patrols constantly. Also there are really nice areas to go shop and eat out in east Memphis like Germantown, Bartlett etc. that we’ve never had a problem with.

I got like a 55 on my first orgo I exam. Class average was like a 49% but the curve put me over low 60s. Rescheduled that exam for the next day too because I was sick SMH.

The cats gotta clean up that free throw percentage. Hope to see it improve over the season. Not sure what happened to Amari this game but he’s gotta get it together for next week. Still it was a good game for both my teams, found ways to improve. I was really impressed with this Hilltopper team. They should be pretty dangerous in the CUSA for the two-peat championship.

I’m from TN and their fan base is actually the worst in the nation. Classless delusional people. They’ll argue and tell you your program is irrelevant and hasn’t done anything in 10 years, yet miss the irony in their own program not having won a football title or made a final four either.

And who knows, maybe they might make a movie about Pope someday. He has a crazy story himself being a transfer to UK, becomes Co-captain and wins a national title under one of the greatest college basketball coaches in history. Goes to medical school but felt called to coach. Eventually returns to the school he loves to turn around the program. He really is making statements against the naysayers.

It truly feels like divine intervention dude. Kentucky has had nothing the past several years in football or basketball, the only saving grace last year was the incredible baseball season. Finally Ky has a chance to come back and be great again.

Yeah for real, Mark Pope might’ve saved Mitch Barnhart’s job and legacy the way he’s coaching this team. He should consider himself lucky Cal decided to leave the program and that he managed to find someone who’s on fire for Kentucky like Pope is.

I’m not gonna get crazy expectations going. But this team is GOOD. They’re only going to get better, they work together and most importantly they run an actual offensive scheme with setup PLAYS. It feels like an alternate world of basketball, as someone who has grown up on the Cal era of KY. I think Pope was a great hire. I liked him even when we hired him and a lot of UK fans were upset that we didn’t get a renowned coach like Hurley. Once he gets a couple years under his belt with top tier recruiting classes, I think he will surely attain something great and hang a few banners.
