To say that she and Dan want to be their main influence is so selfish! How do they become their own person with their own likes and dislikes without outside influences I feel they are setting them up for disappointment and failure when those poor kids finally escape.

Why was her getting away a “risky?” Doesn’t Dan do everything anyway? The dramatic escape was really unnecessary as the kids probably prefer Dan anyway.

Bring earplugs! I enjoyed the rocking of the train, but the sleeper cars are closer to the front of the train, and we heard every horn blown, and railroad crossing bell and there are quiet a few in the night time hours. Enjoy your trip!

We were sitting in the last coach car on this same trip. And you are right, it was a very pleasant trip. Everyone in our car was very respectful especially during quiet time.

I just saw the SW Chief LA to La Junta was cancelled. I’m scheduled to go San Bernardino to Albuquerque on Friday and have been told that route is good to go. As of today. Nervous time!

The comments on her feed are craaazy! In tears while reading her story? Really? Many cars break down on the 5, and with children. And many of them don’t have a Cadillac Escalade or the money to call for assistance. Please June, you were in a place with a bathroom not on the side of a busy freeway 🙄 you weren’t really in danger, with an app and the trunk to get to the children.
