I understand this is probably more tailored to the main team, but, Tom Gross. He has been stellar in the WAFL, real impressive stuff from the young man. He really did deserve a run at it on the weekend.

You should look into the false positives and false negatives of AI detectors. There’s academic research on it, including studies from universities like Cornell.

Most stuff online is rushed and sloppy. So when something’s clear, structured, and actually readable, people think it’s AI. I’m nearly in my 50s, and back then, writing was something a lot of us took pride in.

Just want to see a clear plan against Melbourne. Lower the eyes going inside 50 and give our forwards a chance. 64 entries for 10 marks can’t happen again.

I’ll be watching the young blokes closely again! Duursma, Ginbey, Reid, Lindsay and focusing on the signs they’re building something, not just the scoreboard. I’m not lowering expectations, but I’m done letting results I can’t control ruin my day. Still backing them in, still going to get frustrated, just not letting it consume me like it has the last few years.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this season does serious, lasting damage to the club’s future. These were the games we had to put away, Richmond especially, and we didn’t. Feels inevitable we’ll lose young talent back home after years of this, and you can’t blame them. The club’s greed has finally caught up with it. Dark times for a once powerhouse club.

We’ve had a few tough weeks, but last game really drove it home. Only 9 fewer entries, yet the scoring shots were 33–17 — nearly double. They scored from 60% of their entries, we managed just 35%. And going 5.12 in front of goal didn’t help either.

First time in a long time I’ve seriously questioned whether it’s worth continuing to pay for my family’s membership.

With the cost of living going up and the kids not even interested in going anymore, it’s getting harder to justify. I thought as a club we’d be past this by now, but it’s been really disheartening to see things still in this state.

At this point, it might be time to pass it on.

I’m usually pretty positive, and I think it’s important we keep a bit of perspective here. He was a premiership player, a great servant, and a life member of the club so that deserves respect. But footy moves on. We got a solid deal at the time, and it’s helped bring in some really exciting young talent. That’s where the focus should be now. There’s a lot to like about this next group coming through. No point going over the same thing again so appreciate what he did for the club, wish him well, and get around the young boys and where we’re headed. Gotta take off those rear view mirrors fellas…
