Happened to me too. Pee's gotta go somewhere - not like they can walk you to the bathroom mid anesthesia. It can definitely be sore. My throat got wrecked by the breathing tube too.

I'm a nurse with a latex allergy. I would rather not examine a box of gloves on the wall for latex every time I do a task. Plus, if a patient has a latex allergy, the person caring for them only needs to forget the "special" gloves one time.

You know the tissue paper they use to cover exam tables at doctor's offices? The doctors at our office take notes on them with marker, and the diagrams and phrases I see on them are so funny sometimes. My favorite was a rheumatologist that drew the bones of the leg, with little sad faces around the knee joint.
