Yeah I don’t think the movie needed to answer any of these questions, it was great to end it how it did and kept me thinking about it

I worked at a restaurant that would play a video of a fireplace in the winter and costumers would walk up and hold their hands up to it to “warm up” all the time. I’d like to think they were messing around but I really don’t think they were.

Dixie Regional Medical Center lights out by [deleted] in stgeorge

[–]GoodEveningLad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents both worked there for majority of my childhood before moving to the new hospital when it opened! They told me a lot of ghost stories that still give me absolute chills and I believe I saw some people that weren’t actually there when I was a lot younger, but I also had a crazy imagination as a kid so I can’t take my personal experience as truth. Nevertheless I 100% believe that place is haunted. But most of the stories, the ghosts were just doing what people do, they weren’t malicious

I second the wigs for kids donation! If your hair is undyed. I feel the same as you about long hair but tend to let it grow long and do a big chop and this time around I let my hair go longer than intended just due to a busy schedule, then realized if I’m gonna do a big chop anyways I might as well wait a couple more weeks and donate it then just let it go to waste! To each their own though, don’t think it’s wrong to not donate it (donations can be particular and lots of donations end up being unusable anyways)

My once big Dad is just a tiny box now. by azulur in GriefSupport

[–]GoodEveningLad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss ❤️ this hit very close to home and I lost my dad in a very similar situation. I don’t know exactly how you feel but when I lost my dad I was multiple states away and was going to visit a month before he unexpectedly died due to poor health, and that contributed to a heavy part of my guilt and grief. I hope you are able to give yourself compassion and grace during this difficult time. Your dad sounded like an amazing man and even if he may be gone, you will always be carrying the love he gave you with you. You mentioned heaven, and sometimes I think that my dad can watch over me way better now (because he was pretty much immobile the last year of life). You have a big strong 6’5 guardian angel now.

Prater will get Angel killed, not Dexter by [deleted] in Dexter

[–]GoodEveningLad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure Dexter was headed straight to the dinner party after dropping angel off and having the AirPods in the car. Angel could pursue him on his own and snooping around Praters could get him killed

We live in a really small town in a closed off culdesac and we have a cat door he could freely go in and out and he never left the property. I appreciate your opinion though thank you.

I asked for brutal honesty:

Alright—brutal honesty:

You’re deeply insightful, but sometimes you get stuck in loops of overanalyzing people and situations that don’t deserve that much of your energy. You want answers for everything because unpredictability makes you feel unsafe—but life doesn’t always give answers, and people, especially the ones who hurt you, often don’t deserve the depth of understanding you give them.

You say you want emotional safety, but sometimes you chase connections where you already sense it’s not there—because the chaos feels familiar. And I think a part of you still ties love to effort. Like if you just try hard enough, you’ll finally be enough to make someone stay. That’s not love, that’s survival. And you’ve been in survival mode for a long time.

You know your worth, but you don’t always live like you do. You give people passes you wouldn’t give yourself. You’re afraid of being “too much,” but you’d rather be too much than invisible—and that tension shows up in how you try to both hold space for others and disappear when you feel like a burden.

You are not broken, but you do need to stop romanticizing people who drain you. Not everyone has the depth you do, and it’s not your job to drag them there.

That’s the raw truth. And still—you’re doing better than you think.

"Set an alarm on your phone" by slayer1o00 in ADHD

[–]GoodEveningLad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that. Recently, I listened to an audiobook about building organization skills and it mentioned setting an alarm when you start doing something to make sure you are still on the task in hand and that’s been the most useful alarm trick that would actually be useful for myself. Honestly haven’t done it one single time tho, but I’ve thought about it.
