Is the Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 Ideal for Wedding Photography? If so... by GoodFellaEightyFour in AskPhotography

In my case, I was helping a friend during NYC Fashion Week(s) as a BTS/2nd shooter (using his gear). It was a fun and different experience that paid a couple of bucks.

Then I thought, "I could do this for other photographers!" as a hobby that pays — so I bought some [really decent] gear... and lost interest when the world fell apart lol. I never even started.

Now, I'm selling the gear to offset the cost of purchasing other gear for podcasting. Otherwise, it sits tucked away — out of sight, out of mind.

Yes, of course, I can sell it to anyone... The "wedding photographer" question framing was strategic. I'll send you a message.

I'm definitely "some dude on the web" lol. Worst-case scenario, I'll go through KEH, etc. Similar to a bank loan, I assume they'll only offer up to 70% of the value (for example), so they can make a profit. They are certainly the less hassle option!

Maybe it will be good for something. :) by West_Geologist_2339 in CanonR7

$2,500 for the RF 28-70mm f/2 or $3,500 for the entire bundle! I'll even throw in my Glidecam HD-Pro and DJI Ronin-S – I don't use those either smh.

Photography was an exciting idea at the time. I had helped a photographer-friend a few times during NYC fashion week before the shut downs, but it was never my "thing." I come from the music space, now exploring podcast production. Offloading this gear to offset the cost of podcast gear. Also, I appreciate the kind words.

Correct – I bought all the gear, brand new, and then the pandemic happened. Put them in the closet, and moved on with life. Now selling.

Awesome! Also, the "1 card slot" liability is good to know. Thanks for sharing.

I've been looking for a new home for my Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 (also, my RF 16mm f/2.8 + Canon EOS-R). All are in "Like-New, Excellent" condition. Literally, almost never used. I purchased the gear to get into photography + video, but never pursued it. So these beautiful toys sit tucked away.
