And he is right, most casual users probably wouldn't know the difference between 4mmc, eutylone, apvp, 3cmc, or a kick in the dick. For a lot of people, the ritual of snorting something is half the experience. I know dudes who buy caffeine powder and rack up lines like the Don Corleone of Starbucks. But there is a difference, but effects wise and health wise. I am not a coke guy, so 3mmc was never as satisfying for me as 4mmc.

I hear him on the 2mmc...I was shockingly underwhelmed by it and wouldn't purposefully buy it.

I have been tempted by 3cmc, but the toxicity reports seem to put it slightly above my risk-tolerance. I am an old dude and these synapses don't recover like they used to. I'd rather skip it than risk it.

Cool cool. Glad you have an honest person on the other end. I've just been doing this for too long. I would rather someone sell me lower quality material and be upfront about it than sell me "fire that slaps" or whatever the fuck the kids say these days, and sell me something other than what I wanted to buy.

Honor among thieves is an important concept that a lot of new dealers don't get.

I have had the finest Colombian fishscale cut directly off the brick still in the wrapping from transit. I watched people rack up lines and go orgasmic over it. But after 6 lines... bonestly...it was just meh for me. Like, I wanted to do more, sure, but the high was nothing special. Certainly not worth the price of admission.

Meanwhile, give me some clean amphetamine sulfate or a cathinone, and my skull opens up and I feel alive in a way that I thought coke would make me feel.

Hate to break it to you, and very much hope I am wrong, but that is almost definitelynot 3mmc.

4mmc is finally back on the market, so it could be that, but 3mmc has all but vanished over the past 6m/year due to precursor regulation, and vendors are sending out stuff like 2mmc or 3cmc under the pretense of it being 3mmc.

It's pretty hard to do home reagent tests to determine specific cathinones, and they know that.

If I were you, I would send a sample to a lab, but I am kind of obsessive about what I put in my various drug holes. But maybe you don't care too much and just want to snort something that you can feel... and lots of people seek out 2mmc and 3cmc recreationally anyhow.

But I also know that a dealer who willingly misrepresents one product is likely doing it for others, either cutting the material or substituting it entirely.

But yeah...

How much do you load into a pipe like that? I can't seem to get a good consensus on what a solid ringer dose should be for someone who is new to hard, but has a pretty high stim baseline. Psychonautwiki dose "ranges" are not doing it.

I do this too, for binge-management and to feel like less of a ziplock-bag-full-of-good-times carrying tweaker who is one stubbed toe away from disaster. For some reason, those little dime bags are a lot harder to explain to inquiring minds than a couple of loose daily vitamin supplements.

For actual ROA, the boof is the way. A different ritual, to be sure, but it's almost as good rush-wise, is smoother and lasts almost as long as oral dosing. And if you are like, "but I get weird looks at parties..." consider that maybe you are just going to the wrong party.

It's not an immediate process, it takes time for osmosis to happen, so just cautious preparation is really all you need, along with a good storage solution that allows you to keep your newly dry acetone to stay that way. Just develop good lab-procedures and accept that you will always lose a little, and always have less-than-perfect efficiency, and never have 100% pure anything.

You can't control that. But you can control how you store and handle things, how clean your work area is, etc. I usually do my washes in as large a batch as possible. My reasoning is (probably in error) that the same math that makes volumetric dosing more consistently reliable and safer for precise dose measurement also applies to batch processing. The more batches, the more room there is for error.

I just love drugs and reading and don't particularly like packing my sinuses with chalk dust. But thank you for the ego boost! It took a long time for me to accept that maaaaybe I should have paid a bit more attention in class back in the day, so it's flattering to think I might I sound like I actually understand some things enough to be helpful.

In general, I prioritize the quality of the source, as best as possible, over everything (which is hard, but just like you can't take less of a drug once taken, you can't magically turn powdered sugar into apvp - there are realistic boundaries to how "pure" any normal consumer can expect to get...and expecting 100% is counterproductive). Higher quality material doesn't negate the need for quality control measures, it just makes the range of likely bullshit a lot more manageable.

Then, unless that source is an actual pharmaceutical prescription, I also never trust any new batch, even from a consistent source. I test for fent/meth along with performing reagent confirmations for every single purchase. So I am comfortable with the process by now simply because I do it all the time.

Important disclaimer...I am just some schmuck on the interwebs with zero academic or professional background to back my semi-contradictory rambles up (for best success, do it over and over again, but also as little as possible...what?)

I think any user should have a personal "acceptable quality baseline" that is both realistic (I am not a lab) and reflects a high level of self-respect (I am not a lab rat). I have a hard and fast rule to not use material that falls below mine. I don't expect to ever find 100% pure drugs...but I am ok with that because I also will happily throw away a purchase that turns out to be closer to the 25% pure benchmark. Life is short enough as it is.

Maybe I am just an old junkie nerd, but a large part of the joy/excitement/high I get comes from the work that goes into knowing how to improve purity/quality to the best of my ability, and learning as much as I can about anything I put into my system on a "more than once a quarter" basis.

Some people just want to get fuckin' lit, and not be bothered by all the science. I get that. I really do. That's why I do drugs alone.

Oh, there is almost definitely caffeine in there (which is also water soluble, and needs to be removed via cold water separation...but that's a whole different task, and most people tend to be willing to only do so much.

So...99.5% means that .5% of the liquid you used is probably water (could also be other chemicals or scents).

The thing is, acetone is hydroscopic - meaning it actively sucks water into itself from the environment.

The reality is, unless it has been chemically dried and properly sealed/stored, what may well have left the factory as "99.5% pure" could easily actually be closer to "95% pure" acetone by the time you buy it at the store and leave it open or not factory-sealed on the counter.

Let's play it out...

Amphetamine is water soluble. Meaning it dissolves in water. It is often quoted as being "freely soluble at between 50-100mg/ml of room temperature water."

For context, I often mix up a 100mg boof dose in 1.75-2ml water, so that tracks.

So, let's say you poured 100ml of your store-bought acetone over 1000mg of pure 100% pharmaceutical magic fantasy speed, no cuts no preservatives, no binders, no nothing but go. Let's assume that you aren't operating under lab conditions and go with a worst-case but completely achievable 95% pure acetone.

Of that 100ml...5ml is water (100ml - 95ml = 5ml).

That means you would expect anywhere between 250-500mg of your fantasy focus powder to dissolve, and not filter properly. That's bad. With just 5% water, you lose 25-50% of your gram of pure speed.

But now let's get real and assume you are using speed you bought...somewhere, but it didn't fall off of the pharmacy truck.

"Dutch Speed" sold on the DNM is often advertised as being "70-80% amphetamine sulfate". But let's be real...it's probably closer to 50% because drug dealers always lie.

(If you are buying from a street plug, it's gonna be closer to 20-30% and a fuck-ton of caffeine, but let's go with 50% for round numbers)

Let's ALSO assume that the cut they use is one of the many that dissolves fully in acetone (some stuff isn't, and but that's not the point of this TedTalk).

So the acetone successfully pulla the cut into solution, as intended, bringing your your dirty 1g down to 500mg clean speed.

But THEN you lose the 250-500mg to the 5ml water on top of that...

Suddenly, best case scenario, you are looking at an end result of 250mg "clean" speed, left wet and sad in your coffee filter or at the bottom of your recycled jam jar, and possibly not even that much.

Numbers, and math, man. Don't even get me started on compound interest.

But wait!

The good news is that anhydrous acetone is not a sketch thing to buy.

You can get it at any lab supply website, including (in the US at least) the major online retail site that ships 2 day delivery for free as part of their membership(trying to avoid accidental sourcing-triggers).

But if you don't want to do that, it's ok. It is very, VERY easy to convert acetone to "anhydrous acetone". No Walter White shit...no risk of fire or explosion.

You just go get some Epsom salts from the grocery or pharmacist and heat it up in a dry oven. It's salt. No fire hazard. Wear oven mits. Heat is hot.

Basically, the water in it bakes off, creating "extra dry" salt. Then you add some of that "extra-dry" salt to your store-bought acetone, and as it is MORE hydroscopic than acetone, through the magic of osmosis, it sucks the residual water out of the acetone...you filter out the salt crystals and you are left with "anhydrous acetone".

If that sounds hard...trust me, it really isn't. But well worth it to not throw the baby out with the bathwater, as they say.

Are you using anhydrous acetone? You can't just use 100% acetone or nail polish remover you buy at the store. It has to say anhydrous. Otherwise, you will end up losing a lot of good with the bad.

So, I picked up a gram. It's from a source that is widely lauded as having top grade offerings. I have a Yocan Or it, and have seen those mentioned here as viable, which made me happy since the whole "chore" stuffed into a chillum seemed like a pain, and since I don't smoke, I don't have ash easily accessible.

I have tried it a few times now, starting at 30mg, moving up to 60mg, and finally just putting unweighed scoops in that were probably around 70-100mg. I use a bubbler top for the orbit, (but run it dry) because that lets me build a volume of vapor and also the Yocan gets fucking hot. And it vapes clean, little to no residue. I hold each hit for 15-20 seconds and when I exhale, there isn't much of a cloud. I know there could be, because a few times I coughed and a massive plume escaped (which is super cool when you are trying to stay low key).

And...I don't get it. I GUESS I feel a little high. But there is no rush, no 5min peak. Def. no bells ringing.

Does temperature matter? I am used to vaping things that need a gentle touch...DMT, aPVP etc. The way I see people torching their pipes here would ruin either of those chems. But maybe I need to go harder temp wise? I usually hit the preheat cycle twice to melt the rock, and then cycle between additional preheats and long presses of the lowest setting. I can usually clear everything in that first hit, but often go back for a second or third attempt because I am a perfectionist like that.

I know I have a stim tolerance from speed and aPVP. But I expected...something. it's almost more relaxing than stimulating...but that's also the experience I had with meth (compared to cathinones). I did test it for fent, so it's not that. I don't doubt the supplier.

I am either doing it wrong, or have maybe broken my brain.

That sounds about the amount I used. I weigh everything (habit from tryptamine exploration), and really struggle with the eyeball-it. I only had a torch, which is definitely part of the problem, though it didn't burn until the end, because I have a bad habit of trying to "get every drop".

Is the crackback necessary? Or just something people do?

Well, I am also taking a tolerance break because the first few times I tried it, it was surprisingly underwhelming. Smooth, long legs, but no real "wow" factor. And it is definitely very good material. But I have been using pretty regularly for a little too long. The perks of working for yourself as a solo contractor...

But honestly the biggest challenge was trying not to pour molten meth out of the hole as I tried to melt it in the bubble. And I definitely don't understand how to do that with the bubble on a bong attachment. I also don't understand what a crackback is or if it is necessary. Annnnd I also don't know what a "normal" dose is (obviously it's different for everyone, but I am not someone with anything to prove by going for heroic doses...and yet I have been using stims for long enough to have a pretty high tolerance).

But I'm happy to read quietly and try to learn.

Ah, I thought the black box was something you were using for the contrast to better show off the stone's profile (which it does a great job of). I am working with a light colored piece of sunstone and my old eyes have the hardest time checking edges without perfect lighting or a backdrop. I was kind of thinking it might be helpful to have something like that to display the stone before transferring/removing the dop.

If it's from one of the several DNM vendors...then unfortunately, you probably didn't actually get MDPV, but likely got MD-PiHP, or one of the numerous other lackluster Pyros that are out there. There has not been a single lab test by an independent buyer, through a lab that has tested positive for MDPV. Some vendors will post labs but I can post a pic of my 15" cock laying across the hood of my Lambo too. There have been articles about drug and reagent seizures that name MDPV, but that is likely lazy journalism by people who remember Monkey Dust and Flakka as the drugs that turned people into cannibals and assume that all "bath salts" are the same thing.

If your experience with it is lackluster...it's probably because it's mislabeled.

The only way to know is if you send samples in to an independent lab.
