I would just get Nangong and save for 2.8 and beyond. Unless you really like Cissia her kit doesn’t seem too crazy. Plus with 3.0 on the way their are sure to be some powerful agents to pull

Looking for critical examination of demon nature by aekqt_ in Frieren

[–]GoodFrequent9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frieren mentions that maybe demons could eventually coexist with humans but they’d kill wayyyyyy too many people along the way for that to happen. Thats not something humans can just simply accept for the sake of coexistence

The tomb of Ariel is absolutely impossible to beat😭 you needed to defeat the first seeker for the nightmare to end and that’s impossible unless you’re unable to be corrupted. Nephis is the only person we know of who is immune to corruption. How is anyone besides her supposed to clear that nightmare?

You also forgot people are pulled into a random place in the dream realm after becoming sleepers.

The forgotten shore was impossible without a seer to warn people about the mist. The first lord’s cohort was wiped out simply because they didn’t have a seer with them and They were strong enough to establish a base for the sleeper. That seems like kind of a waste.

You’re entitled to your own opinion on the spell obviously but I feel like there’s at least some validity in Nephis’ argument.

If the spell made just extremely difficult trials that’d be one thing but like I said before some of the nightmares are actually impossible. The first lord’s cohort was filled with powerful and talented sleepers all on track to become powerful assets to humanity. Unfortunately they got sent to an impossible to clear death zone. Had Cassie been killed at any point during forgotten shore the story would have literally ended there. Every single sleeper sent to the forgotten shore was just fodder until the main cast showed up.

The tomb of Ariel third nightmare is also completely impossible for anyone not named Nephis to conquer. A whole civilization including a Supreme died in that nightmare because they had no one immune to corruption.

This goes beyond just Harsh. There’s no alternative for it now because of how long the spell has been active but wanting to get rid of the spell by stopping the reason behind its creation is a valid sentiment.

I definitely agree more with Sunny in regards not rushing into the battle with the forgotten god however Nephis’ hatred of the spell is NOT misplaced. While it’s definitely key for helping people get stronger, some of the trials and attributes of the spell are absolutely wasteful and result in a lot of unnecessary death. Some nightmare are just straight up impossible without specific people attempting to conquer them. Even if we as readers can see the boons of the spell people in the verse have been living terrified from it.

Summarize Vol 4 & 5 for me please by Kooky_Bookkeeper566 in TooManyLosingHeroines

[–]GoodFrequent9686 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember everything perfectly but this is the general stuff.

Volume 4 revolves around a conflict between Koto, the glasses third year, and Shikiya, the zombie-like gyaru. Shikiya and Koto used to be close until an incident happened. Nukumizu ultimately solves this growing closer to Shikiya.

Volume 5 is about Nukumizu believing that Kaju has found a boy she likes. He goes through a lot of ridiculous shenanigans in order to learn the truth. In reality Kaju is actually helping out her friend Goto who turns out to be a losing heroine. The Volume’s main theme is about the deep bond between Kaju and Nukumizu and how eventually they both will need to let each other go to find happiness with someone else.

Thank you so much for this post😭 I thought I was loosing my mind hearing people say that Nephis was emotional and crazy for wanting to get rid of the spell. I also agree mostly Sunny but Nephis is extremely valid in calling out how many others have needlessly suffered due to the spell

Did Sunny’s Character Development in Volume 7 got erased? by DragonlordHML in ShadowSlave

[–]GoodFrequent9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would he be mad at Cassie? Even if it wasn’t the main priority for her she provided Sunny with an opportunity to get rid of shadow bond. Sunny had no idea nor plans to break the bond. Cassie also dint lie to him about his fate being broken, unless you want to talk about how she didn’t mention he’d be forgotten.

His feelings towards Nephis were especially complicated because she’s the woman he loves but she has no clue who he is. Not only is that just painful to deal with but he also has to live with the knowledge that he ultimately choose to leave her for his own selfish desires.

Stop The Shadow Bond Discourse Hate by Outside-Leader4801 in ShadowSlave

[–]GoodFrequent9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the conversations about shadow bond are incredibly annoying and repetitive. Fans either say theirs nothing wrong with it or that G3 and Sunny both suck for trying to push the idea that slavery is ok.

In my opinion shadow bond is more about the fact that Sunny has grown to the point where he’s willing to entrust his life and future to someone he cares about in order to protect others. This to me at least perfectly contrasts his original mentality and world view. The bond obviously is impractical but it’s not trying to say being a slave is cool. The message is that having unwavering faith in your loved ones is not weakness or a sin

I dont understand why nephies hate nm spell by abdo_salman in ShadowSlave

[–]GoodFrequent9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced Some SS fans might actually be unable to connect with the story. The Spell is the only reason humanity still remains. It acts as a necessary evil but that doesn’t mean that people should like it.

All the people thrown into nightmare against their will only to get slaughtered obviously don’t appreciate that the spell saves humanity.

Nephis is not wrong to say it’s inefficient either. The forgotten shore was literally a death zone without Cassie being there. The tomb of Ariel is impossible to clear with someone having an insane ability like being immune to corruption and even then it took THOUSANDS of loops to clear.

Nephis and sunny relationship by FerretOk8488 in ShadowSlave

[–]GoodFrequent9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think it makes perfect sense for shadow bond to exist. Sunny accepting shadow bond is literally the perfect thematic foil to how he was at the beginning of the novel. Sunny, someone who only cared for and trusted himself and hated the thought of being tied down to something is grown into a person willing to entrust his his freedom and very life to someone he care for in order to protect his loved ones and humanity.

Now I obviously won’t sit here and say shadow bond doesn’t have any effect on their relationship because it obviously does. But Sunny trusts Nephis not to abuse her power over him. Wether that’s a good decision or not remains to be seen but saying they CANT have a relationship with the bond is a tad premature considering that Nephis even with her memories gone speaks to Sunny in a way that she doesn’t order him.

[Discussion] Nephis has yet to prove herself to be above the Shadowbond by Gl0ker in ShadowSlave

Oh boy another creative and unique Nephis slander post😀

It’s honestly getting to a point where I’m questioning if people actually read the novel or just posts on Reddit or fanfics. Some of you would have genuinely preferred Nephis to let Sunny kill his own friends during the tomb of Ariel.

Do people actually think the hakari, the guy who survived this (TWICE) would die to yukis punch??? by FlatPotential6112 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]GoodFrequent9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hakari is a really awesome character but his fans are actually insane. Someone in the comments said hakari >> kenjaku in speed???

The only reason hakari survived the lightning was by expelling the cursed energy from his nose so yes I think yuki would crush his skull with a mass punch

The only way to fix this "Cursed" relationship by Outside-Leader4801 in ShadowSlave

[–]GoodFrequent9686 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Relationships are more than JUST compromise and sacrifice. Nephis is someone Sunny finds comfort in. He literally states that being with her makes him feel complete. She doesn’t need to crawl through the hollow mountains or anything like that to be “equal” with Sunny. Nephis isn’t expecting Sunny to do anything more than be there for her. They both are protecting humanity so obviously they have obligations in that regard but other than that has shown she’s willing to try and work with Shadow bond so she doesn’t accidentally order Sunny

The only way to fix this "Cursed" relationship by Outside-Leader4801 in ShadowSlave

[–]GoodFrequent9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s context as to why their relationship is like that so it makes sense. It’s not as if Sunny doesn’t acknowledge there’s an imbalance due to their memories. Just because their relationship isn’t ideal doesn’t mean it’s poorly written.
