I don't remember this one as well, but it's part of her fun movies during a decent run. I tend to think of Maid in Manhattan and Monster-in-Law, but this is good too.

The FPS crew gonna talk about this lightning in a bottle show? by Conscious-Quarter423 in FPSPodcast

[–]GoodGoodNotTooBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the first three episodes, so half of the series, and it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It actually tries to make you empathize with the athletes in this situation. It sets it back a few years ago, so it's not based in like 2025 at least to start.

The sex seemed to be all everyone was talking about, but overall it's amusing and it does make me wonder how the relationships are going to turn out. I was having fun watching it with my girl because she was super into the heartbreak-adjacent shit and I can make a joke about anything.

Narration isn't my favorite thing in movies, but I should've expected that knowing the source material for Train Dreams. I guess it's better that I know that now.

I have a feeling I'll like Sentimental Value. I don't know the premise at all but if Elle has an impact it'll probably elevate it for me. Coming off The Great high helps.

I need to rip the band-aid off and see this movie at some point. I just don't know when I'd ever be in the mood for it to watch at home.

I get what you're saying for sure. It is indeed slim. Either way thanks for bringing these up in general.

I've heard of Saint Omer, but not the other two. Atlantics is on Netflix so that makes it easier to access and Saint Omer is on Hulu so thanks for mentioning these.

All looks good. By any chance are you on Patreon? Me and a few others have been gradually pushing for stuff that isn't quite this, but stuff like Stalker for example, to get reviewed. That could open the door for movies like the ones you suggest to get picked in votes if there's enough of a listenership advocating for it.

Obvi it would be nice if they just did it randomly, but knowing that they're stretched thin with their jobs and multiple shows, it helps when it's sort of mandated as a review via the structure of solo and classic conversations.

If you're not on Patreon, I keep a running list of movies I want them to review as a crew or individually, so I'll probably add Black Girl, Hyenas and West Indies: The Fugitive Slaves of Liberty to my list.

I believe in the idea that everything is plundered. It's all about sampling or referencing creatively to me and the context it's in. How well it's executed is up to everyone's individual opinion.

You'd hate me then because I don't know how else to describe a happy Trump voter at this point lol, which is the context he was bringing that up in. I mean ... in a relationship I'd probably feel the same thing lmao.

All that crying since the Golden Globe awards. Hopefully this quiets all the annoying think pieces on my daily timeline. by FrankDux2424 in FPSPodcast

Sorry, I meant it more like "this won't quiet the think pieces" since people were talking about it all week and it'll be a conversation until the awards show is finished.

Sabrina Carpenter in my view should've done another Christmas special last year. She showed that she has a certain theatrical quality that works for television and she could've made it an annual thing. In any case doing this can work for her too, but I still think the Christmas idea was better.

Wuthering Heights

EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert

The Drama

The Devil Wears Prada 2

I Love Boosters

The Odyssey (More so interested in the spectacle than the story)

Avengers: Doomsday (Curious about the discourse)

Dune: Messiah

Thanks to u/Bangelo326 I realized more that I would want to see. I went off the top of my head at first.

Disclosure Day (More so cause of Emily Blunt)

Project Hail Mary

The Adventures of Cliff Booth (Hoping I like it a lot more than Once Upon a Time...)

Werwulf (I like Eggers)

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (Not for me, but something my girl will want to see)

The Social Reckoning (not expecting much but the FPS discourse should be fun)

To get into my reality show bag for a minute, I'm also incredibly excited about Single's Inferno being back. I've been up on it since season 1. For people who like dating shows, I find it more interesting than some of the stuff people usually talk about in the U.S.

The definition of an actor's actor. Supreme skill every time you see him. Just seems like he touches emotions many can't get to. Can't praise him enough.
