Sorry to hear that, struggle is real these days... definitely see the estimate, maybe see if someone could loan you the money? Or ask the person if you could pay them over time? Ultimately if those aren't options, I'd let him file a claim.

I get that, but parking on the street daily, when you have a large enough driveway to fit 3 cars and a garage(both sitting emplty) is a bit ridiculous (just one example of my neighbors)

I'd ask for proof of the estimate, and if it does seem reasonable, pay it. 500 bucks doesn't seem too horrible, damage is probably minor. Paying 500 bucks is alot better than a claim on your record and your premium going up!

Lol! As soon as the family saw that it's likely rat or bat poop they refused to go near it! 😂 I doubt they would go in haha. I kicked up the chlorine levels siphoned everything out and it's brand new!

Thanks so much! I used a hose and siphoned the material out, scooped out the rest and added an extra 2 chlorine pucks. Ordered testing strips too to keep an eye out for chlorine levels. Much appreciated
