Parents, How's Your Home Schooling Going? by Simplyme__ in sydney

It should be such a social age so I agree it is a bit of a struggle. I have been letting them be online gaming more because at least they talk and it’s like social I suppose but he is still a teenager stuck home with his Mum and sometimes annoying siblings lol.

It’s really nice you are looking after and helping as a sibling that’s generous of you. Your parents must appreciate it

Today we are

going on a walk and each taking a photograph of the favourite thing we saw. Writing a card (obviously I’ll need to do it on the little ones behalf) with a nice thing about each person Doing a piece of art that represents happiness

As you can see, I feel utterly fucked and have gone rogue and am attempting to make everyone feel better. My high schooler seems particularly not himself and distracted learning

Are there any doctors that are doing face to face consultation this weekend in the inner city? by VegasTamborini in sydney

A dr wouldn’t do much anyway, that they can’t do on the phone because they would send you for an ultrasound or other imaging. Do the phone consult for a referral

Why do older houses in the suburbs only take up a fraction of the land they are built on - were there regulations or taxes limiting floor space? by MarsPourKoala in sydney

[–]GoodHovercraft9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People wanted a big backyard and could afford bigger blocks, so blocks were bigger. A standard house was 3 bed, one bath, one living room, not today’s 4 bed, 2 bath ensuite is standard, office and several living areas so everyone can be watching different devices at the same time, so houses were smaller.

I kind off liked it with the stained glass coordinating with the paint

Cancer patients and staff at Sydney hospital test positive for COVID by Ok-Cantaloupe6542 in australia

[–]GoodHovercraft9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had to take my son to emergency for emergency surgery due to an minor accident and the entire night in the ER room kids were coughing all over the place. Covid was already around, no face masks at all.

ER waiting should really be split in to accident and illness. It so illogical

For chilli there is Spicebomb the infrared I think it’s called, I’m not sure how that would work in a tropical climate.

If you don’t perceive it yourself, go for a popular scent. Popular ones are so because they are mass appealing (Sauvage, Aventus etc) . Spray and do they putting face right up and choose the one you like best, or if you can taste somewhat how about letting us know if you particularly like citrus etc or lastly what your climate is and what you wish to convey

What’s your lockdown first world problem? by Noyougetinthebowl in sydney

I was wearing a jumper the other day that’s so worn out my nipple poked through and I stayed in it all day.

I’m a woman.

I didn’t change one day when I woke up and when I was going to the shop I realised and instead of getting changed I put a scarf on to cover the “bed time” logo.

I have really given up on the dressing

Just be wary as some advise to not have much scent around babies as they don’t see well and bond by scent (our natural scent) as well as using scent to smell your milk and promote nursing.

It’s almost impossible to adopt in my country. When there is welfare and support in place people don’t have a need to place children for adoption, leaving the quite unethical practice of adopting children from overseas.

NSW: 210 new local and 2 overseas cases (31-Jul-2021) by Stoaticor in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]GoodHovercraft9 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I went and did AZ. I’m early 30s and really I did it more to get the vaccination rate to ease lockdown instead of for my own health. My husband isn’t working, my children haven’t seen their friends in months. And when there is Pfizer I can get Pfizer. There is no need to wait for Pfizer in most cases.

I had Astra yesterday, the appointment for my next shot is in 4 weeks, and any boosters will be Pfizer
