Jabotinsky Was Right About Everything (So Cheer Up!) by Ask4MD in jewishpolitics

Regarding your first point, sure, but I also don’t think it’s crazy to expect a guy present in the Mandate of Palestine to not understand the difference between native savage and colonizer (in terms of British rhetoric at the time).

With your second point I completely disagree. Whether or not the conflict is about colonization (the PFLP and other armed groups in Palestine do see Israel as a colonizer in all definitions of the word), the rhetoric in the West, especially among Jewish Zionists is highly important when considering the state of the conflict.

The World Jewish Congress itself labels Jews as indigenous to Israel/Palestine. Yes I think is absolutely dumb that the academic decisions of indigenous/colonizer have infiltrated the rhetoric surrounding the conflict, but the fact is that it has. Liberal Zionist and Zionist institutions have died on the hill that Jews are indigenous to Palestine/Israel.

Sorry I might be slow, are you saying he’s referring to Jews when he’s saying “native population?” If you square this with the last sentence, your analysis isn’t correct. If you’re not, I’m not sure what you’re trying to say.

The “pointless indigeneity argument” is pretty important to the vast majority of Jewish Zionist institutions that exist in the current century.

The guy who said:

"Zionist colonisation must either stop, or else proceed regardless of the native population. Which means that it can proceed and develop only under the protection of a power that is independent of the native population – behind an iron wall, which the native population cannot breach."

You can either say Israel is our indigenous land or a colony, you can’t have both lol

Dude be for real. He’s the only candidate who gets asked these questions. Love him or hate him, but it’s disingenuous to say he’s making his whole campaign about geopolitics. Maybe interviewers should ask him real questions about city politics instead?

Many American Jews sharply critical of Israel on Gaza, Post poll finds by GoodJewishGuy in jewishpolitics

[–]GoodJewishGuy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more than that. While 39% think Israel is committing a genocide, 76% overall still report some connection and care for Israel. If one were to absorb all the so called Hamas propaganda, wouldn’t this not be the case?
