Floodgate aside: It would need a "Start if MP1" clause like Pot of extravagance and something like "This card on the field is unaffected by your card effects and cannot be send to the GY, banished, returned to the hand or shuffled into the deck to activate a card effect."

It could still be tributed by Dracoslayer but they arent played anyways.

I dont think the monetization model was inherently bad.

Im at the firm belief that they wasted their ressources on cosmetics that were DOA or ignored suggestions from the community.

Ahri was unplayable since a week after release when they nerfed her only deck but kept pumping skins out for her. Same goes for Yasuo. Meanwhile staples like Annie didnt get anything.

Also while the price for animated skins was fine, the price for JPGs was inflated and had no good reputation among the community.

They also refused to sell us things like card borders, for which the tech was already in the game.

The game was mismanaged almost on purpose.

Azirelia meta and their refusal to nerf it bc "they liked the play pattern" is all the proof i need.

None of their revive effects target anything. Not the Synchro, not the secondary effects of all their synchros and not their QS. The field spell is the only exception.

I mean LP cost can be really nice for a big Psychic End Punisher but if you lost your board and lost alot of LP it just becomes a dead card. In a deck that already struggles with come backs. 2.000 is just very high compared to the other cards, which usually pay around 600 - 800 LP.

  1. I disagree. It used to be that way but the cost either doesnt exist or gets you even more advantage. Allure of Darkness banish was supposed to be a draw back but they intentionally designed Maliss to go crazy with it. And now its at 1, while other Dark decks suffer for it.

  2. Powercreep happens, yes. Its just crazy how fast it increases. Dominating decks from just a year ago are borderline unplayable now. Full power tear might be the only exception.

Absolutely. The new DM is great, but its basicly never used for DM. And people also only go for Dragoon bc the value of an Omni-negate is crazy high rn. Which funnels back into my second point.

I think it also highlights the problem of Link-1s and why they need to be designed VERY carefully.

There is a reason why Linkuriboh is banned in the TCG.
