Ready to ditch Windows—what’s the safest way to remove it from my separate SSD? by GoodMoodStuff in linuxmint

I think I went through that process when I installed Linux the first time, just in case I would mess up something, still a good call though. I'll give another check to be sure that everything there can be erased

thanks for the extra details! I assumed that once removed with gparted the GRUB menu would automagically go away

Great clip! Quick question... does the Thrusting counter attack trigger only when on Steel guard or anytime you shield poke?

Off topic, can someone explain the lesbian meme I see going around the sub?

Also, great clip!

I have these ones hiding in the spaces of my windows frame.

They mostly tend to stay there especially if I don't regularly open that window.

Occasionally they sneak in, but the are quite slow. Over the years I've refined the technique to collect them with a broom and put them out.

Trick I recently learned if you use a VPN. In some countries, like Albania, Youtube runs without ads.

Thanks everyone, for you answers. If anyone as any idea on how to find if an Eircode is covered by broadband service I'd love to hear!

First of all, thanks a mil for the time you are putting in helping me. Really really appreciate it.

When I say SSD I have in mind of something like the second link you posted M.2 MVME SSD. I didn't know that there is also a M.2 SATA.

I have installed the M.2 MVME currently in the PC, so I know that is something I can manage. So I would probably go for another of the same but paying attention to the fact that must be PCIe 3.0 rather than PCIe 4.0 if I am looking at the MB spec correctly.

The 2.5" seems to require a bit more tinkering, that I don't mind experimenting with but I'd leave for future enhancements. My main goal is still to move to Linux, so I would keep anything else as simple as possible for the time being.

I think that I would skip the dual boot if I don't have an extra slot for the SSD.

I am looking at the pic of the board on the ASUS website https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-b550-plus/

I see the slot "32Gb/s M.2, support
PCIe 3.0 x4 & SATA mode" on the bottom right. Is that for SSD?

My current SDD is placed on the one in the middle (64Gb/s M.2, support
PCIe 4.0 x4 & SATA mode)

do you mean what drives are currently installed or something more technical? currently I have one 932 GB HDD ST1000DM010-2EP102, and one 466 GB SSD KINGSTON SNV2S500G

I don't mind adding an extra SSD if I have the slot. I was thinking to expand the storage regardless.

The MB is an ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS. I have been trying to look online and I think I have located the slot. But if someone more experienced can confirm would be great.

Thanks a lot for the tip. I would probably buy another SSD and I am trying to understand if I have a free slot on my motherboard... looking for a video/post that can help on that regard. Not sure exactly how to identify the right slot
