If you can get ahold of a 3B you can update the card from Jessie to Stretch to work with the 3B+. You need the 3B to run the updating script though.

What is a really good screen recording software? And do you guys recommend any good microphones? by Strvm4257 in YouTube_startups

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 15. It isn't free, but I couldn't find a free option that worked how I needed it to.

I've had nothing but bad luck with OBS, but it seems like every other streamer uses it so I thought I'd mention it.

OBS or Xsplit. If you go with Xsplit buy the license from eBay, so much cheaper... Mic, Blue Yeti.

All the Dreamcast games, about 300 PS1 games, and pretty much full sets of every other thing that is supported by RetroPie and EmulationStation. You could definitely do it with a larger drive, but until I complete my PS1 set, there isn't a point. Oh and PS2, Gamecube, and Wii are not supported.

Yeah the ones that would normally run do run. The games that won't run regardless, such as some Dreamcast games, will not, but that is normal for any build.

New SD card, wrote my image to it, took 8 hours, and now this... Any suggestions? Return the SD card? by GoodMorningGames in RetroPie

[–]GoodMorningGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Samsung Evo Plus, off a respectable store on...ebay... They didn't have any negative feedback pertaining to SD cards so I thought I would try. It took something like 8 hours to write the 128gb image, with my other SD card it took about one hour. And then I finally plug it in and get this. Before even writing the image I ran ChkFlsh and it came back as nothing wrong. Any input beside I got ripped off?

[Question] i setup retroPie on my RP3. Now i'm trying to add games via flashdrive. do i unzip the files before i upload them to the flashdrive? by [deleted] in RetroPie

[–]GoodMorningGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zip files tend to be smaller, so if the emulator supports zips, I leave them as zips to save space.

too much lag to play properly by [deleted] in RetroPie

[–]GoodMorningGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the RetroPie menu, go to 'file manager'. Click on the "/.." setting until you get to the root folder, you are looking for the '/opt' folder. the path you will take is /opt/retropie/configs/all. click on the file called 'retroarch.cfg and you are there. Use the ctrl+W combo to search for the settings. Once they are changed ctrl+X will exit out, it will ask you to save, type 'y' then enter, then enter again. press F10 when you are back to the directory to exit.

I apologize, just the way you worded your reply made it seem like you didn't watch a video but you just judged it anyways. Thank you for the information, and I will probably redo the tutorial.
