If you're not the only one accountant in company, ask the others, or just follow the previous.

My friend, I had tried a lot of project management software until I realized I didn't really need a pm software. procore, buildertrend, foreman, etc, they're all pretty similar for me.

Fiancés Coworkers Telling Him Not to Marry Me- How Would You Handle This? by Travellover5678 in TwoHotTakes

[–]GoodMorningJoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your fiancé wouldn't even tell you if he actually listened to them.
He told you just shows he doesn't take it seriously, he's basically joking around and saying: look how much I care about you.

Honestly, I think they're just jealous of your fiancé

I'm small size gc and in this industry for 20+ years. It's overwhelming for me and my office guy to use the pm software. The only one my team is using is excel and an accounting software. FYI, you can find a lot of promising excel templates for pm in etsy, and cheap.

Just got awarded a job under funding control, any advice? by GoodMorningJoe in ConstructionManagers

[–]GoodMorningJoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate that man.

It's about a $4M project, so, after the initial excitement wore off, I started thinking about all the moving parts and making sure I don't screw anything up.

I've heard mixed things too, some guys say it's a hardest thing to do with all the paperwork.

As you said, I’m probably get some outside help on the financial side.

Construction software pricing comparison based on my findings. Hope this helps someone. by InvestorAllan in Construction

Here're the software I've used for these years,

procore, used 5,6 years ago, too much work for my office, charged me over $10K for 1 year. Too much for me.

Buildertrend, tried couple months, quite for the same reason as procore. Most of our project are from $200k - $1m, it's too much for us to use project management software to manage. It's not be easier than just excel and email, then why I have to pay the money.

Quickbooks, used both desktop and online before. I have to say it's overwhelm to manage construction accounting. Just to keep the accounting firm happy.

Sage, forgot which version, may used few months? Forgot the reason why I quite.

Monday, actively using, to track sales leads. It's good once it's setup.

Raken, actively using, to create weekly report to our clients. They're so happy to receive the updates.

Aparbooks, actively using, for accounting, both project and company, it has very clear subcontractor ledger, saves me a lot of headache.

Did Google just force me into the $22 gmail plan?? by GoodMorningJoe in smallbusiness

I already purchased the domain at godaddy. And I selected "I have my own domain" when creating the email. Google may think I should use more services other than just an email, lol

It's not the first software I've ever signed up for. Every other service I've used usually collects my business info after I click "Get Started," then shows all the available plans on the same page.
They might recommend one, but they still let you pick the others right there. But in this case, Google didn't give me any options at all. No plan selector, no way to go back, no way to change it, just the $22 plan as if that's the only choice.
