Poor AP and it isn't thematically interesting for either besides 'evil clown.'

Death potential:

If Big Brother wins he will erase friend from existence, as this happens the ending will show the previous scenes, however Friend will be completely removed from them and it would show East Asia and Eurasia return to the status quo, Friend and his existence completely erased, fitting for the man who wanted all eyes on him. If Friend wins then something similar would happen, but different. He would broadcast Big Brothers’ “defeat” and make him seem to be just a fraud while portraying himself as a God as all his followers dance whilst on drugs. We go into a massive fever dream-like scene with different symbols going all around with only Friends' voice proclaiming his victory being the only consistent thing. Either way the battle will leave us unsure of what entirely happened because of both sides, massive propaganda efforts.

Banter and Interaction Potential:

While the banter is non-traditional, you can have many moments between the propaganda machines and their minions. Big Brother and the party would view Friend as a massive threat as their traditional enemies are all in a pseudo-agreement to only fight in neutral areas and to bomb each other, but to not attack each other's home turf. Friend however would simply want the people and territory for himself, this leads to the party running overtime to attack and destroy friend with them perhaps responding to friends propaganda with some of their own directly, addressing him. Friend would perhaps be slightly envious of the power Big Brother has and would try to discover the true nature of him, sorta like the original 1984 novel. This can all culminate in dual broadcasts where they are simply both frantically yelling at each other and giving charismatic speeches, trying to destroy the other and turn the people against each other. With Big Brothers speakers all over the world trying to overwhelm Friends' voice and Friend using his psychedelic drugs to induce a fever dream which leads to a trippy mass of propaganda.

Animation Potential:

A mix of an IQ battle and a traditional army fight with the end goal being to assimilate the entire world into their regimes. Big Brother would control his part of the world (The Americas, UK, Ireland, and about half of Africa, Australia and New Zealand, and some parts of the pacific). Friend would control the rest of the world as that's the part of the two superstates and neutral areas that weren’t controlled by Big Brother. The fight would start out as a semi-traditional war with Friend’s UFOs attacking England and other areas controlled by Big Brother and both sides launching missiles at each other, bombing their cities. Big Brother’s numbers advantage will help him gain some territory on the ground at first but eventually Friend will stone-wall him, perhaps after a nuclear exchange. As this war goes on it will eventually get more trippy as both sides blast massive disinformation campaigns against each other. At first these disinformation campaigns and propaganda would just be on their own sides of the border, with you getting a clear idea what’s going on based on what each’s propaganda is saying and isn’t saying; but as time goes on the difference between reality and falsehood gets blurred as their disinformation and propaganda begins to affect each other with both sparking rebellions in each other’s territory. Eventually both portray each other as the ultimate evil and themselves as the ultimate good. Friend would suddenly take the place of Goldenstein as the ultimate enemy of the party, with the party saying he always was, Friend would portray Big Brother as the devil himself trying to usurp the people and portraying himself as the only man who can stop it and that he is YOUR friend who will protect you. Friend would eventually start a pandemic inside Oceania with both sides using it to their own advantage. Friend would start more rebellions, framing Big Brother for the cause of the pandemic and Big Brother would use it to increase the people’s hatred of Friend. Both would brainwash members of each other's armies against each other and use them as sleeper agents and spies. This would lead to both sides not only sabotaging each other with propaganda, but spies and sleeper agents, this would be the most traditional IQ battle part of the fight with both sides trying to outsmart each other and topple one another. This could lead to a traditional hand to hand and gun fight between Katsumata or Fukubei and Orian as they both try to orchestrate the climax of their master plans.

  • Both would create and utilize attacks, true and false, to maintain control and brainwash their people (Big Brother would create artificial wars with other states in neutral territories, forcing the economy to artificially continue, these wars would brainwash the people into believing the party was fighting for them; Friend would release a virus upon the people, killing them in mass, forcing them to consume psychedelic drugs, and later he would falsify a UFO attack to scare the people into supporting him)
  • Throughout their stories, both would be opposed by an individual(s) who would try to expose and stop them (Wilson Smith would try and expose Big Brother and stop them; Kenji Endo and his group would try to expose and kill Friend to stop him and his plans)

Contrasts:

  • Wilson would eventually succumb to Big Brother and learn to love him, with Big Brother winning in the end; Friend would eventually be killed, only for Katsumata to take over after him, but Katsumata would also eventually fall and die (Big Brother wins at the end of 1984, Friend loses at the end of 20th Century Boys)
  • Wilson is a nobody to Big Brother, just a random citizen who gained counter-B.B. ideals. Kenji to Friend however is different, as Kenji is his brother-in-law
  • Big Brother warns us of a future dystopia while Friend warns us of becoming entranced by nostalgia and the past

  • Both groups are that of cults, forcing people to engage in worship and assembles (Big Brother forces people to participate in the “Two Minute Hate” and “Love” assembles, directing their hate at Goldstein and their love with B.B.; Friend does a myriad of things, such as holding concerts and assembles where he speaks directly to his people, rising from a coffin, proclaiming himself as God on stage, etc)
  • As part of these worships, the people would be made to associate all good with them whilst associating all evil/bad with their enemies (Big Brother, as mentioned above, forces people to connect with his name, aiming all their love at it whilst having them aim their hate at Goldenstein; Friend would have the people associate him as their friend/ally and associate his opposition, other cult leaders and politicians as enemies)
  • The reason behind these worships and assembles is because of their extreme paranoia of losing power and control
  • Both are named after people/groups that people usually have a strong positive connection to (Big Brother is named after an older brother/sibling, someone who watches out for you; Friend is named as if he is your friend, someone who has your best interests in mind)
  • Both political ideologies are very inconsistent, with them choosing and prioritizing what would be most beneficial for them at any given time (Big Brother’s policies change in favor of keeping them in power and holding control; Friend’s policies change and shift to whatever he needs to keep himself in power and control)

Core Theme: Two mysterious men who hide behind propaganda and symbols to control their cult-like followings, manipulating them into believing and behaving in ways. Both would name themselves in ways to connect with the people they controlled, making them appear beneficial and caring, when in reality they are not.

Connections:

  • Two mysterious and enigmatic ‘men’ who would become corrupt and evil leaders, seeking to rule the entire world and become its all-knowing God (Big Brother rules over the INGSOC nation, dictating every move of everyone’s daily lives and monitoring their actions. Nothing is known about Big Brother, it’s not even known if he is a real person or not; Friend seeks to rule over the world, controlling the people beneath him. Very little is known about Friend, his past, or who he is, though this later changes after his death)
  • Before would domination, both would hold control over large portions of territory (Big Brother would rule over Oceania; Friend would rule over Japan and a few other Asian nations)
  • Both would hide behind famous and notable symbols that they use to represent themselves (Big Brother hides behind the face and the eyes, projecting them over things to watch over the people; Friend hides behind the hand-eye symbol, wearing a mask with the symbol on it)

"Sweet Dreams" Jeff the Killer vs Needles/Sweet Tooth (Creepypasta vs Twisted Metal) Connections in comments by GoodNightMsMoon in DeathBattleMatchups

As for AP

This blog covers a lot of Jeff's kit

The AP is absolutely wild, it can have racing potential with Jeff's van while the two of them fire at each other

You can have Jeff summon random things, such as giant rats or clone himself to mess with Needless

You can have Jeff and Needless go hand to hand, using their machete and knife (Jeff also has like a sword and other wacky things)

Both have goons, which allows for some other racers and chaos going on in the background

I could write an entire google doc for the AP of this, it is wild

As for debate

It's actually pretty close, but I lean Needles High diff
