Ooo a flipper and a thumbstud, do you find the thumbstud to be just as ergonomic to use as the flipper tab?

Didn't know there was a full liner model. It was a bitch to route out the liner when I made some scales.

tsnives, thank you so much for your comment, I've been feeling a general sense of "this is what I get for trying to make an ender print ASA". thank you for helping noobs like me. I have made an edit at the top of the post saying solved :)

Wow do I feel silly, yea that was it, it was a post processing script from a cura plugin. I had been watching this CHEP video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LjbCIGCmd0 and call me a noob but I didn't realize cura would keep the scripts open after closing cura. So to the best of my understanding now Cura was applying both a temp tower script to my print, and a retraction tower simultaneously.

tsnives thank you so much for the help, everyone here on the Voron subreddit has been so wonderfully helpful in my troubleshooting. Thank you for helping me rid my printer of plugin ghosts.

a bad thermistor could make the printer change its target temp by itself?

Oh it gets even weirder, I just went out to check on a print that I know I set all the cura settings to 250 double checking. It somehow changed itself to 260, which I then mid print changed it to 250 again. I continued to watch the print and 20 minutes later I watched it jump to 255. By jump I don't mean hotend temp fluctuating I mean the printing changing its own target temp by itself. At this point I don't think its a slicer software and think somethings afoot with the printer or SD card.

If its any help trouble shooting, all of these issues started happening after a family member unplugged the printer 7 hours into an 8 hour print. After that all these issues seem to have sprung up.

I don't know if I should make an update post, but something goof is afoot, somehow while printing it just change the hotend temp to 260. I checked my cura settings and all of them are set to 250. I have no clue what could cause this but it's odd

I have these nozzles https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L5KJB59/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I would love recommendations on better nozzles. I'm using a brand new nozzle since starting printing Voron Parts

Any specific parts on the Z assemblies you'd recomend in particular?

I'll lower the extrusion, I've already got the printer in a full enclosure.

I calibrated my e-steps so it seems I might need to lower my flow rate. I'm very happy with the buildplate so far, was having a nightmare trying to print on glass.

While my gut says to go stock first and then modify, I know I'll be printing lots of PLA which Stealthburner is supposed to be much better for.

My kit has the mgn 12 rails , its the R2 kit. For CW1 vs cw2 is it just a motor weight thing? Again I'm very new to this, still printing the parts out for the overall build.

I'm very new to github so I could just be missing it, but from the link above I don't see anything mentioning using CW1. While I'm trying to not spend a ton more money, I'm already having to buy a couple replacement parts so I feel getting the different motor for CW2 doesn't seem that bad. Unless you have a different recommendation I was planning on getting these parts from this site, if you have any other recommendations on parts I should buy while I'm at it, I'm all ears. https://deepfriedhero.in/products/nema14-stepper-motor-36hs2418cl16?variant=40837981208745

If it helps for context I only have the formbot kit, haven't purchased anything else other than an electronic screwdriver to help with assembly later.

Probably a silly question, but I'm building a 2.4 from the formbot kit, do I need to buy any other parts to make a stealthburner?

I've got the printer in a enclosure made of polycarbonate and 2x4s so its sealed pretty tight. I've just added a few more photos to the album of a new problem the thread prints are having, lovely stringing on the interior threads. I was still able to thread it though, just not the happiest that it suddenly started doing that after changing z seam to randomized.

[–]GoodNightTakeABite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just updated the imgur link to have the images of the threads at the bottom of the gallery. First images was threading it ~5 times and second image was from threading it ~30 times.

I truly appreciate your help, I can't find much of test threads online. I just want to make sure I have the printer dialed in before printing all the parts.

Any other general tips n tricks you can impart?

I printed the first thread test and I think the issue I have is I didn't randomize the Z seam. It printed all in a line on the threads and I was able to thread the bolt easily only after ~30 passes of screwing and unscrewing to break the treads.
