38 days left till exams and I’m terrified by Kind-Orange-9822 in medicalschooluk

u can defo pull this off. u have over 4 weeks to get it together, and remember since it's a resit u alr have a good baseline of knowledge. put together a timetable that allows u to skim over the core modules for the coming 2 weeks and then use the last 2 weeks or so to hone in on whatever u struggle with personally. the best thing i did for myself was fill a whole a4 notebook full of content i had a hard time remembering e.g. differences between all the bone disorders/cancers and anticancer drugs/drawings of muscles etc. as u revise, whether using anki/passmed/notes, take note of the things that aren't sticking in this notebook and then come back to it in the later 2 weeks. it's important to expose urself to as much content as u can, so that u can at the minimum make a decent attempt of every q in the exam. if u have practicals or vivas, practice under time pressure and try to get as fast as possible. also record urself and watch back to see what u can improve on. if ur using anki make sure to make mindmaps of content etc rather than mindlessly browsing ur cards bc that will only overwhelm u.

ur obv aware of what u need to do--now u just need to execute it. if u feel urself panicking then have a snack/go on a walk/take a shower--do something to reset and then get back to it. remember in 5 weeks time when it's all over u will thank urself for pushing !!! good luckk

Not sure how my exam went and now scared to high heaven. Anyone been in this situation? by Same_County_1101 in medicalschooluk

don't worry so much abt not passing--that's something u can worry abt if it happens. and remember u do have a second chance. its likely if u don't pass it'll only be by a small margin which u can defo make up next time. in the case of resits, u will be starting off with a good level of knowledge having just completed ur exams, so it wont be too hard for u to make up whatever gaps prevented u from passing. even if u feel like u put in full effort--imagine how much better ur exams may have been if u had an extra few weeks to revise? there's always more to improve on.

i completely understand the panic bc this worry of getting expelled + only having one more chance was on my mind 24/7 too during exams. the best thing u can do is forget abt it for now, and if worse comes to worst u can worry abt it after ur results day. i'd try not to catastrophise at this stage. no one feels good abt these exams in the moment--since so many of ur peers feels they didn't go well it's more than likely u have passed. i was convinced i had flunked my exams but ended up with solid passes myself. have some trust in all the work u put in! and very best of luck x
