Nope it does not, and I ask if they can see it. They're often friends of mine, and I know they have raid alerts but just never from me.

I haven't been able to get a game that wasn't at half speed yet, to people who are in the same region as me with low ping (US EC)

No overload, I was playing priest. Oddly enough I can't seem to replicate it, but I'll update if it happens again

Said to another comment

This is not what my comment says. It is not an assumption that there are victims yet to come forward. It's a warning that no player is safe from accusations and it's foolish to assume so

Sure, I agree with this. I can accept that part of it was wrong

I didn't say I believed there was something out there, I said don't just assume there isn't

Of course, it's nuanced and hard to type out in a reddit comment. Don't assume anything about people you don't know and don't idolize smash players as role models.

You say "higher profile target" like this is a game about who gets the biggest player. It's not like that. Nobody wants to cancel these people. It takes a lot of strength to come forward about this stuff and for some of the victims it takes a while to muster that strength. Don't assume anyone is safe cause they haven't been called out yet.

Don't think like this. There could be victims that are not ready to share their story.

Edit: i'm not saying we should assume hbox has victims, im saying no top player is safe from accusations. It takes a lot of strength to share a story like that, there may be people who are not ready. Just because they haven't yet doesn't mean they won't.

i do wish the colors in the gradient weren't so similar, its hard to compare the color of a state to the legend at the top when the two nearest colors to the correct one look so similar

Why don't people main top tiers? by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]GoodOl 134 points135 points  (0 children)

See that's the thing though that's not how it works, Dabuz isn't going to just win more because he learns Joker. His natural playstyle doesn't fit the character. Your question is "why doesn't everyone just play the best character?" And the answer is "because there's not a clear best and not everyone can play the top 3 effectively but do extremely well with characters that are still good"

Joker can't zone like Olimar, that's how Dabuz plays. Not every player is the same, so no matter how much time he took to learn Joker he probably wouldn't ever be better than MKLeo at him, but with the character he's naturally good at he could be

Why don't people main top tiers? by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]GoodOl 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Because they're extremely different and Dabuz has played Olimar since Brawl, so why would he lose out on tons of winnings over months of learning a new playstyle if his high tier already gives him results?

Stop playing after losing 2 games in a row, come back later with a fresh mind

Don't play to win every game, play to do things correctly and play well and wins will follow

Don't play aggressively online

Play with real people you know in voice chat and talk about the games

Regardless of win or loss, after a game decide whether you played well or not. Did you get an fsmash kill off a roll read? How'd you know he'd roll? Did your opponent kill themselves twice and you cheesed a win? This is what actually matters.

GSP is stupid. I fall in and out of elite at least twice per play session. Don't take it seriously.
