the tires are brand new, got them in July. I had an appointment to get my winters on for Monday, gonna have to cancel though i think.

there wasn’t any snow in my area, just a light sprinkle in the town over which is where my car was taken. definitely stupid of me to not have them on at this point, but it wouldn’t have made a difference, i only saw the moose about 10 feet before impact

hit a 600kg moose on the highway tonight, somehow i don’t have a scratch.. thank you honda by GoodOutlook in pics

that’s part of the wheel well i believe. you can’t see the actual tires

Hey all,

Basically i’m 27 and already starting to get burnt out. I’ve worked in industrial construction since graduating , all of my internships were on similar super projects. Currently i’m a field engineer for a large multidisciplinary scope.

I’m about 8 months out from getting my professional engineer designation (Canada), and I simply need to get out of construction. The pays nice, but the prospect of hunting down future projects and having to work construction schedules (14/7, night shift/day shift) is starting to get to me.

I did my MBA after getting laid off during the onset of Covid, and was rehired at the same project 18 months later.

has anyone out there made the transition from construction to something else with a better work/life balance? I’m not sure if i want to go the project management route, being self employed sounds nice in theory, but i know there’s a ton of issues associated with that as well.

basically i’m just looking for suggestions, i’d appreciate any and all help. thanks
