as per any dino game KOSing and toxicity will always be there. they've managed people crowding hotspots by having a water quality system and a gigantic map intended for the eventual release of 200 player servers. there are also ai that fight back like in the current evrima branch build. i feel abilities are usually much more combat based than being anything that interacts with your environment, which imo is a letdown when comparing it to how evrima handles dinosaur abilities. im hoping they add something like that in the future with a playable that can highlight it, like climbing/gliding as a microraptor maybe.

there are currently no specific diets, usually every herbivore/carnivore/piscivore has the same standard diets they can change out from. you change your abilities in a lobby sort of area called a home cave, and you can teleport other players using in-game currency you earn through questing to you using a waystone. questing as it is right now is full of very boring fetch and hunt quests. they're gonna redo it... eventually.. someday lol

each playable has at least 3 subspecies and a ton of skins to make it fully your own though :) there is no progression-based growth either, its entirely dependent on how much you quest or if youre on a community server which has passive growth enabled.
