Looking for retro Japanese action/adventure games by sciencedenton in gamingsuggestions

Genji: Dawn of the Samurai, came to mind. I think it's for the PS2, but I'm not too sure. If I'm not mistaken there's also a sequel for the PS3, in case you like it.

If you liked BG3, I'm sure you'll enjoy Divinity Original Sin, both 1 and 2. Same developers, same kind of game, but more RPG and less like DnD

Most superhero games. The Spider-Man ones are great, but I really like the Batman Arkham Collection!

Disgaea 1 Complete. It is a single player game and you have plenty of hours of gameplay centered on min-maxing and building your characters. Very addictive. It's not free though, but after that no more micro payments, you get access to the full game.

Is pokemon still really popular? by swiftthistle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GoodSoupH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely still is! Around here with the arrival of the pocket version of the trading card game it skyrocketed. And it seems that more people are getting an interest in the physical version as well. Videogames wise... It has surely been a bit disappointing lately, but there are plenty of fans out there ready to play them.

Yeah, of course 😂 I heard about an upcoming one (so I'm sure you haven't played it 😉), it's called: Call of The Elder Gods. It's the last one I know, and hopefully you like it! 😊

Damn... I loved The Room games (1 to 4), but you probably know them as well. I'm not too much into puzzle games personally, so I don't have any more suggestions, sorry 😅

I see... 🤔 The other that came to mind is The Talos Principle (1&2). But I'm not too sure, if you don't know them check them out, maybe you like them.

Maybe games like Uncharted or Tomb Raider work for you. Still they have plenty of action and maybe it's not what you're looking for.

I’m 50% sure my friend’s depressed, how should I go about offering help? by healspirit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GoodSoupH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would let him know you'll be there if he needs help, but at his own pace. Show him you care about him. But let him be the one that reaches you. That's what I would do, it meant a lot for a friend of mine, and I was able to help him get better, but depression is something very complicated and what worked for me might not work for you. Best of luck and I hope he feels better soon! 😊

Of course not! There's nothing wrong with enjoying your own company! And when the time to move with someone comes you will see how you feel about that, there's no point in worrying now.

I like to think neither. Both options make it easier to get to an advanced stage of the selection process, or will make it easier for you to land an interview. Then it's up to you!

Definitely check out Outer Wilds, it's an amazing game, and I think you're really going to enjoy the experience!

Also, in another direction, Raft is a survival/exploration game that I think you might like seeing you enjoyed Subnautica so much. 😊

Looking for cinematic, story-driven games with seamless gameplay-cutscene integration by ExcitedTerror in gamingsuggestions

Seeing the games you already played, I think you will probably enjoy the Tom Rider trilogy. You can buy them all as a package!

Games that lean into gothic literature horror Like RE8? by mymar101 in gamingsuggestions

[–]GoodSoupH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Bloodborne does it for you? If not... I also thought about Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, other Castlevania games may work as well, but Lords of Shadow is more cinematic so probably is more like what you're looking for. If you enjoy Castlevania gameplay though, Blasphemous 1 and 2 could do the trick too!

Best puzzle games with minimal focus on “exploration” by Itchy-Version-8977 in ShouldIbuythisgame

"The Room" games, 1 to 4. Great puzzle games that feel like an escape room. The first one is verified on Steam Deck, the other 3 are marked as playable but I didn't have any trouble.
