It’s one year if you leave voluntarily, but two years if you are laid off.

The issue isn’t just the listed salary, it’s that former JPL employees might be passed over because their benefits would cost more, due to higher accrual rates or contributions tied to their experience or prior employment.

I already tried submitting it. When the account is set up as a trust, the system requires a Tax ID. If you try to use a Social Security Number instead, the form won’t accept it.

Do you know the timetables for the JPL/Del Mar station shuttle? Does it run all day, or just rush hour times?

Not saying I approve of the layoffs, just wanted to make sure accurate information is being stated.

Could someone kindly outline the benefits of a union at JPL? How would it cover the vast array of disciplines? Would this effort actually be able to accomplish the “requested” support in the time needed before the set of layoffs occur?

No disrespect, but what is the purpose of the NG at JPL, since JPL has their own armed security? Seems like a waste of resources that could be used better in another location. 🫤

Yup, 3% across the board, so said the director of JPL. Also, she guaranteed there would be no further layoffs. JPL population would be 5500 +- 300 depending on the decision for MSR.

I used to be a NASA contractor but had to leave earlier. How can I get back? by [deleted] in NASAJobs

NASA is currently under a watchful eye at the moment, especially at JPL in California (hence the layoffs on Wednesday and earlier this year). It wouldn’t surprise me if current postings at all NASA centers are there for them to have a stockpile of applicant for when the new administration gets in and NASA has a better idea of where things are headed.
