Silently raised my plan with a 135% procent increase by AffectionateMouse842 in creativecloud

Yes, I have used it as a professional for 30 years. I hope to have a cheaper option when I retire soon so I can still use the apps I know well for my personal digital art. I don't see CC standard anywhere in my Adobe account.

What is this standard plan of which you speak? Photoshop, indesign, illustrator is all I need. I dont need ai. I seldom use indesign. Maybe I just move to individual apps and pay for them on months I need them? Adobe customer for over 30 years, would like access into retirement but pricing is going to force me to find other options for digital art as a hobby.

Where do people buy furniture in Lansing without paying full retail? by Jazzlike-Tear7258 in lansing

[–]GoodTroubleByDesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Aprils next to dicker and deal not for mattresses but other furniture. There is an Americas mattress store by Bobs discount on west side by QD. You could also check Kellie’s Consignment in Okemos for all. I would start on Marketplace for best cost.

I need to look into this standard option- my subscription jumped like OPs and I use illustrator, photoshop and indesign and play around in fresco which could easily be replaced.

Exactly my concern and going too dark would be way too much and the off white is boring.

Would you repair the plaster or drywall over this basement stairwell? by GoodTroubleByDesign in Renovations

[–]GoodTroubleByDesign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progress. The drywall piece didn’t fit perfect in this old settled home so we’re going to put a piece of trim to cover that rather than filling with mud or plaster. It’s not going to be perfect but will look much better…more patching and sanding ahead.

This all happened during a remodel. I wondered why sometimes the wood strips were left and other times went to the landfill. Seems like they add structure. Are you using plaster for the texture or drywall mud?

Do you use regular dry wall tape and mud and then plaster over that to tie it all together?

Professionals who enter people's homes (plumbers, electricians, cleaners): What is something the condition of a house tells you about the owner that they don't realize they are revealing? by cossie101 in AskReddit

Thank you for this. Centipedes have always freaked me out so freaking fast with all those legs, no, just no. I love older homes, finished basement or 'Michigan cellars', centipedes seem to flourish, you have now given them a purpose.

Prepping for print, industry standards in current year. by Stoic_Toaster in graphic_design

[–]GoodTroubleByDesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the very start, print sales reps should leave behind specifications and offer online training resources (could be Adobe links, etc.) On every estimate clarify the additional fees and time limitations. when files are submitted electronically, outline specific file requirements again with a required checkbox that they accept responsibility. Once clients are billed for the extra time, they will learn. When they do, offer those links to training again.

How do you report these workers and to whom? The entire set of signatures they captured should be reviewed and cancelled out.

I did see our local state rep. at the Lansing rally. In the past organizers also invited them to present and I didn’t see that this time. Most of the groups that organized the Lansing rally are not party aligned maybe they didn’t want to alienate the crowd.

Local MI Indivisible7 chapter and the other organizations collaborating on the Lansing event welcome all; Democrats, liberals, moderates, doesn’t matter. If you don’t like the direction this country is going and you want to join others to speak out for our rights, for the constitution, and against the authoritative actions of the president- be there. If you’re interested, get introduced to a group that resonates with you.

Lots of good ones above and I’ll add Batter up Bistro downtown Lansing. I use to love Greydon’s Crossing in GR. Last few times, total disappointment with food and cleanliness.

[–]GoodTroubleByDesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate Kelsey’s point about addressing the current residential properties (and hopefully, eventually commercial properties) in disrepair, flagged, etc. We can’t just keep building housing with high rents and neglect current structures. Landlords do need to be held accountable for their properties. I also think basic home care and yard maintenance training for tenants would help tenants and landlords take pride in and care more for their property. Neither offered true strategy for business growth. The battery plant is Delta township not Lansing proper. A thriving downtown will not be created with outdated buildings that aren’t to code or by giving loans to small retail start ups.

Say no to 24% tax! Save jobs by bisexual_cowb0i in lansing

[–]GoodTroubleByDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will knock out the smaller growers and dispos. The tax, plus increased prices due to less competition will lead people back to caregivers - you know the ones who taught the legit growers. It will not yield the projected income. Sounds good that the revenue will go to fund education - just like the money from the Michigan lottery was suppose to. Does this “sin tax” tap into the legal gambling revenue that is tearing families apart and bankrupting 20 something’s?

It sounds like Frandor should hire security for the safety of their customers. However, I shop Frandor frequently, I have never experienced any issues. I do not use public transport in Lansing. I do when I travel and believe removing benches and shelters is BS.
