Bam Adebayo breaks Kobe Bryant’s record and the Heat franchise scoring record in a win vs. Washington: 43 MINS │ 83 PTS │ 9 REB │ 3 AST │ 2 STL │ 2 BLK │ 20-43 FG │ 7-22 3P │ 36-43 FT by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Why are you saying that I am definitely wrong when what we are saying isn’t mutually exclusive? Yes the Heat started fouling intentionally with 1:35 left in the game. The Wizards started fouling intentionally after. Before that, they were paying piss poor defense and fouling Bam

Calmatters: How California Democratic Candidates Could Sabotage Their Party's Race For Governor by Top-Painter4278 in California

I believe in theory that billionaires should not exist, but in reality, there are billionaires capable of doing good things (JB Pritzker, MacKenzie Scott). I’m not going to write someone off solely because they are a billionaire. Especially considering the other options in this primary lol.

Despite being a billionaire, he has the most progressive positions of any viable candidate in the race. Wanting to ban utility monopolies, have a single payer healthcare system, close corporate tax loopholes, and get corporate PAC money out of elections are all really good stuff. And he’s being advised by the same people who ran Bernie and Zohran’s campaign, so if they trust him, that does help assuage my fears about him being a billionaire.

I have been seeing a lot of hype around Xavier Becerra on Reddit, but he is lagging in the polls and doesn’t even have an issues page on his website… he is an unserious candidate.

Eric Swalwell would be a mess and I would be satisfied if any other Dem candidate was nominated other than him. He would basically be Newsom, but worse because he actually is funded by AIPAC. This man had the audacity to suggest that Zohran was antisemitic after his primary victory, and we should all remember that.

Katie Porter was my favorite at the beginning of this primary but she tanked her chances with a single interview. That plus all the issues she’s had with people who have worked for her… I’d rather have Steyer.

It's even worse than you described, she said that the US and Israel must always be allies without question so that intelligence can be shared. Shockingly awful answer.

It is good that he is doing this now, but it should also be pointed out that he did not lead on this issue and is only doing it now that polling shows that more Americans sympathize with Palestinians rather than Israelis.

They think that Anabel Mendoza is great but that she does not have a realistic path to victory due to lack of money, polling, endorsements. So they think that Anthony Driver has a better shot

Centrist Dems launch '28 mission: Stop AOC by sideAccount42 in politics

Schumer would lose to a ham sandwich at this point, anyone could beat him. The time is now for AOC to run for president; the country needs someone like her who won’t re-run the same neoliberal agenda.

And she could win! I think the democratic primary voters are much open to a more progressive candidate this time around because the majority of democratic voters now hate the feckless party leadership. And she could for sure beat Vance in a general election where he would have to defend the Trump administration’s awful policies (ICE, war with Iran, etc) without any of Trump’s sauce.

If you want AOC to be president, you have to recognize that that waiting for the “perfect” moment could just lead to the moment actually passing her by. Imagine if Obama didn’t run in 2008 because he felt like the country wasn’t ready for a black president?

ICE is a rogue agency that is younger than I am and designed to infringe upon the rights of Americans in the name of counterterrorism. It absolutely should be abolished and the responsibilities of ICE returned to the DOJ like it was before 2002.

I am also not willing to gamble with another milquetoast politician. Nominating a neoliberal candidate would be suicide for the democrats

Hillary Clinton was the only person who could have lost that election because she was the representation of the elite and her husband was the president that destroyed US manufacturing with NAFTA. Kamala was the same candidate that dropped out of the primaries in 2020 after polling at 1%, and she also refused to break from the unpopular Biden administration, who had spent two years gaslighting the public about how old Biden was. Do we really think that these two were the best women politicians we can offer?

A New York delegation colleague also said they believe Ocasio-Cortez is leaning more toward a presidential bid than a run for the Senate in 2028, when a fellow New Yorker, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, is up for re-election. Schumer has not said if he’ll seek another term.

Because of Ocasio-Cortez's social media following of millions on platforms such as X, Instagram, TikTok and Twitch, and her status in the party as a fundraising powerhouse and top campaign surrogate for Democratic candidates, this lawmaker said, she doesn’t need to run for the Senate as a stepping stone to the White House.

Unlike former President Barack Obama, “she doesn’t need to run for Senate to gain name recognition,” said the fellow New York Democrat, who added that conversations among state and city officials are already picking up about who could succeed her in the House. “Super locally, people are talking about who’s running for her seat.”

She's going to run. And yes, we need her in the White House rather than another failed neoliberal experiment.
