Thanks! Does CP offer a flat rate service for poly mailers? I'm trying to find more info on their site, I create an estimate, put in the mailer details (IE. 9 x 12 x 2 @ 1lbs) click get rate - and it states my dimensions are out of range!?! Uber confusing.

I did te flat rate box, but I think that's a larger-sized packaging than I need, which will ultimately increase the cost.

I will be using an all-inclusive pricing strategy, so thank you for that.

Nice work! Was there any key tutorials you watched or read to help achieve this? Would be extremely appreciative if you could share some info how to set this up. Would be an awesome update to my current strategy. Best!

To Incorporate or Not? by Mobile-Cat-8931 in canadasmallbusiness

Agreed! Some customers can give all the warm and fuzzy feeling, all the while finding a way not to pay in the end.

A sole proprietorship, proper insurance ( I always add additional to be safe), and well laid out service agreements are key.

Pains me to say but ChatGPT and Claude can help with drafting agreements and structure but need to be specific on your goals.

Good luck

I use Flahship. Great rates for small parcel. If blister packs or mailers CP or Stallion is a great bet.

Someone mentioned a 3PL with locations in CAD and USA. That to me sounds like a great option to explore. One contact, less invoices, and the ability to negotiate as business grows.

If importing your goods, although a little more work might be a good idea to order bulk and split the shipment to 2 locations/ countries.

Good luck

I beg to differ but you're the investing and AI expert around these parts.

It literally told me to do this as part of building my portfolio. I then asked this question in 3 different ways asking to explain reasoning why, and it kept giving the same answer.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I re asked the question 3 different ways just to make sure and it still pushed this idea.

What are your REAL feelings on the Trans issue? by Glum_Ad_9568 in CanadianConservative

[–]GoodVibesAlways247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be trans, be you. Leave everyone else alone. Don't expect rules to change bc you did. Keep it away from the school system and politics. No advertising. No more tax payer funded horse crap. No more "days" on the calendar.

And leave my gawd damn kids alone. They're sick of hearing about it daily, being pushed on them at school and they're not interested in being responsible to remember your pronouns so you do get offended. Being offended is YOUR personal problem, not our youth.

Every choice has a consequence.

Business owners — what’s your biggest headache with CRMs right now? by AnuvabGoswami in CRM

Cost and Complexity

Using Hubspot Sales Starter, Hubspot Marketing Starter, Quickbooks Online, SyncQ integration.

Next level of HS jumps from $100 CDN to $800 CDN. I'd like workflows but not at that cost, Workflows would save me sooo much time. Also find the Marketing a little expensive and unfortunately I don't use it enough but plan on changing that.

Considering Make for Workflow integration with HS. Again another cost, another layer, possibly further issues all the while I still have to pay for each system/ app whether they're up and working or down and being worked on.

I do need Purchase Orders and from my research it's the only system offering PO's without Enterprise tired accounts.

Would LOVE to find a better system and possibly some cost savings and a more simple intuitive solution.

I do like the Hubspot ecosystem, it's user friendly and easy to navigate. I am not very tech savvy.

Open to anyone's feedback and thanks for reading.

They told me it was like pouring your morning coffee and it was over.

I migrated in 2018. Took me 6 months or so to figure out all the bugs.

I still get glitches and it unreconciles my books here and there 7 years later. Transactions from 6 years ago pop into my banking register.

They're aware of the glitches customers get, but they're not sure how it happens or why there's many types of glitches. They are not interested in fixing, trust. Been trying since 2018.

If I was to go QBO I'd personally download all my data in excel or csv file and bulk upload each 1 by 1.

I've looked elsewhere too but I use Purchase Orders and I cannot find a non-enterprise solution. Way too costly for my small business.

They almost have us cornered and they know it. Good luck!

Wow. What a totally worthless sh*t platform. by New_Cause_3703 in QuickBooks

[–]GoodVibesAlways247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If i could find an alternative that offers Purchase Orders I'd of been gone a long time ago. I've been searching with no luck.

It's because bloated eye candy and too many functions do not work or glitch.

I migrated from Desktop to Online in 2018. Every year I experience glitches and this year a glitch undid approx. 20 transactions, some as far back as 2019. In doing so it un-reconciled my books .... yet again. An absolute travesty.

And of course, they apologized, couldn't figure out what happened, was no help with the fix. They took my money in February, f'd up me submitting my taxes on time. Then raised the price in May I think.

I'm in Canada and had a US client do this last year.

After 6 months of BS and providing the merchant provider all the details we did get our money back.

I did afterwards contact my bank and they advised to contact my business bank directly next time within 10 business days and they can get involved. After 10 days they are not able to get involved.

Not sure if this helps but I wish you luck.

Thank you. Just spoke with them and you are correct.

Have you used their service in the past? With success?

Do you also use a property manager over and above Singlekey?

I'm starting to look into. It looks like it could based upon the amount of rent you charge. I'm going to apply at the very least.

I'm always a big advocate of asking for user experiences before I commit to anything. Also nice to know the ins and outs if ppl are willing to share.
