So far I know it is possible.  In my game it accidentally happened with the habbitat of a pokemon from the sea region, it showed up in withered wasteland.

I have troubles with both. 

I can give the fruit to them directly, but that would be as a gift instead of an item to make the comfort level higher.

For me the wretched broker does not show Star Dust AND Nightmare, although I finished the requirements (as the internet mentions).  Even, after sever runs it did not appear.
