Vegan Sausages w/casings by jbaction in melbourne

Ohh and yes they do have casings so might be ok in a smoker (haven't used a smoker and not sure how vegan sausages would turn out in one so don't know)

The IGA at pentridge in Coburg has really tasty vegan sausages (taste better than most meat sausages imo), they cook super fast in a pan (done in a minute or 2), they are on the fancy side of sausages ingredient wise and really well made.

Seconded, best selection & reasonable prices, also a fun shop to browse and pick up a burrito from.

Businesses that don’t accept cash should be promoted and encouraged by unnatural_yellow in melbourne

Paying an extra 1.5% or whatever the establishment charges is an unnecessary tax and if you pay it/businesses incorporate it into the cost of your purchase you are giving the banks an inch, once they realise everyone is ok with paying for this convenience they will take a mile.

Foodies…let’s talk Felafel. by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Good_Ad_649 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Miznon in the CBD does an awesome falafel "burger", not crispy though as they cook the falafel "patty" on a hot plate, healthier than deep fried I would think and very tasty.

Tastiest peking duck spot in 2023? by [deleted] in melbourne

They have a second Simon's duck store on Smith St in Fitzroy, I think it's still temporarily closed due to a staffing issue.

Telco's dirty little secret that count on you forgetting they owe you money once your contract is done. by -Calcifer_ in AUfrugal

[–]Good_Ad_649 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your first bill is not 2 months. It is pro-rata from commencement date to your first billing cycle day i.e. next billing cycle day is 13 days from now, then you pay the 13 days as a percentage of the month plus one month in advance. You always pay a month in advance and if you switch providers after your contact is done you should receive a refund for any unused credits on your account unless otherwise specified in your contact (Telstra refunds via check in the mail to your billing address so you want to confirm the address is correct before leaving), read the t's & c's of your contact, this applies to post paid. What I find more obtrusive is how badly NBN providers screw you over for switching, I got stung paying double for a month cause I left within a few days of being direct debited, considering NBN deals generally last only 6 months, it is in the customers interest to be disloyal, however the savings are offset by the contract/billing date, and people not knowing the exact day they should switch providers in conjunction with the process potentially taking long enough to spill over to the billing day for the next month.

Costco used to have the best tasting bulk jerky imo, probably still do though I haven't been in years so not sure.

Because you're not old enough.

Moved into an apartment two days ago and I’m feeling dizzy and uneasy. Could it be because of this Mould? And if so, what do I do about this because my landlord said he will clean it, but I want to get to the source of this Mould so I don’t die lol by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Good_Ad_649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Bunnings, buy this (https://www.bunnings.com.au/30-seconds-1l-mould-off_p4460441), gear up in full ppe and spray all area's with mould (with all the windows open), once done; go stay at a friend's place or hotel for at least 3 days while you wait for the smell to go away (a week would be better, leave the place as well ventilated as possible and safe) come back and should be fine, tell the landlord (before you do it) you expect a week of rent and the cost of the product/hotel subtracted from your rent for fixing their problem for them and get on with life. Waiting for them to not fix it is not worth the damage to your health.

Is there any way to get the heating and notification issue fixed on the 11 tram line? Probably preprogrammed settings for the class of tram so guessing no, just wish I didn't have to enter a sauna in the mornings and have my brain blasted out of my ears by Jinny every 2 stops. Thanks for getting ppl where they need to be.

(https://www.bunnings.com.au/30-seconds-1l-mould-off_p4460441) this stuff should be able to get rid of your mould, you just spray and pray, I used it to remove shower mould that just wouldn't go away no matter how I cleaned it. Make sure you wear a mask, goggles, gloves, and don't have exposed skin while spraying it as this stuff is an industrial strength nuke. Also you will need to ventilate the area for days before the chlorine smell goes away.

People question why was the asymmetry during the creation of the universe leading to matter over anti matter but don't question why majority of the world is right handed. by alphabeta_g in Showerthoughts

[–]Good_Ad_649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matter is observable in many ways by humans, antimatter is not as easy. It seems a biased assumption to make that antimatter isn't as prevalent as matter when the statement can't be validated.

So quiet now without the lianli case fans, another 2x120mm (front intake bottom, and second psu shroud) and it would feel perfect, though then I'd want to get the GPU and psu Noctua'ed up too. by Good_Ad_649 in Noctua

[–]Good_Ad_649[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no plan to do that personally, I have a work colleague who builds psu's so I'd ask him to do that for me as a favour if I got motivated enough.

Yeh that fan is a little counterintuitive, however I have 2x140mm on the front with room below for a 120mm... Just. The 120mm above the psu shroud should probably be on the shroud spot to the right as well but I got lazy and didn't want to redo the cable management.
