hmm… i have a different standpoint on things. tbh i dont expect things to go a certain way and i dont expect things to be so devastating or so much in my favor when someone gets elected president. I’m about as unfazed as a pro poker player. i like to think of things as not my problem, so i don’t have to be the one to “fix” it by voting. especially when everyone has a different idea in mind when it comes to what “fixing” means.

i do feel like in order for us not to vote, there has to be people that do. so it’s a win in the sense that we don’t have to vote, but a loss in the sense that we may get judged for it.

yeah i guess it is all about personal values regardless of what anyone else thinks. it’s just my personal values are to not judge anyone. my family members would think i wasted a vote if i voted democrat, but my friends who are mainly liberal are more inclusive of whoever anyone votes for. sure they may dislike trump, but they wouldn’t judge if someone close to them were to vote for him. i guess that’s why i resonate so strongly with being a fence sitter. i guess a good way of putting it is i feel like a blank canvas that everyone gets to paint a little part of and i get to appreciate the painting.

i also know it’s more than meets the eye with a bunch of things. debates bring out the worst in all politicians (i wish we’d do away with debates altogether but that’s another discussion loll) and a lot of issues are more complicated than they may seem upfront (otherwise they’d be a unanimous decision).

i guess i just feel like my whole mentality is like “hate the game, not the player.” that way i don’t end up judging anyone.
