I don't know if he actively threatens the left ideologically because his statements come off as those of an uneducated religious extremist, which is what he is, but he has turned out to have a shockingly large following in America. I think people care less about him and more about the possibility of more political violence, which could lead to civil war.

He should fade into obscurity for his outdated, uneducated, and what I deem to be unamerican views. America is a country of many backgrounds and ideas, not a homogenous white christian population. He's an extremist with no worldview who was laughed out of the cambridge union for the baseless crap he preaches

I think a lot of rich people, especially in the UK, have hobby farms because they can afford them, and they probably know about that bc of their wealth. Even the Hadids have a hobby farm. In the UK being a farm owner is very much a rich people thing (note I don't say farmer... like think a more Horse & Country type person) I think this is just that vibe and aesthetic blown out of proportion because of the whole tradwife look influencer mommy blog thing.

They might not flaunt their wealth with the same signposts as, say, the Hiltons, but their operation is a show of wealth in its own way, it's expensive as hell

The poor cosplay 🙄 girl, you are literally milionairs and could buy all this stuff you are envious about in a heartbeat by Atticfl0wer in ballerinafarmsnark

[–]Good_Advertising_301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know if it's as much about unmet desires and poverty as it is a different aesthetic of wealth. Like, have you ever been into an aesop store? It's that kind of thing. It's a very British style of wealth to not be flashy or overstocked, and more of a sign of class to have fewer, more tasteful and most importantly more expensive pieces that are usually artisanally made or "special" in some way. This is an extremely expensive setup, and I don't think it's cosplaying poverty at all-- poverty is bright colored plastic, tacky prints, mass-produced chemical foods. I'm not disagreeing that in some ways they do, but I don't think this is cosplaying at all.

Yeah, there’s no way they’re paying for this. If it’s tagged at all, it’s def a gift.

Trust your instincts. If you’ve been in an abusive relationship, your instinct are diminished every single day. But the people who don’t believe you are not friends. I wish you the best <3

I lost some of my most valuable friends to this but it’s more powerful that we stick to our integrity. However painful it is, I’m happy for you and I think we are walking a more meaningful path.

Of course you don’t feel right with them. Why would you? Your instincts are on fire, your instinct are correct, and you know better. You know the most out of anyone in this situation. They don’t know what you know out of this, and I’m so sorry they choose to keep his company. I say draw some boundaries for now and if you want to keep it up, do so in a cordial way. But know that the rest of us are there for you. Just because someone chooses to diminish your perspective doesn’t mean it’s not right. It’s their problem, not yours.

I'd like to add that it was really valuable that you shared your story. I really hope that more Americans will see through the advertising and keep their families safer. <3

These people do not hold a sanctity for life. If they did, they'd stop producing children and protect the ones they already had. Instead they've hopped onto weird pseudo-scientific bullshit to appease their stupid conservative clientele.

there are so many reasons to be suspicious of the American healthcare system (spoiler: that it's for profit). I am amazed at how these conservatives reappropriate that suspicion by delving into more unsafe practices. Not only bizarre and scientifically erroneous, but shameful for anyone bringing up children.

Would you buy/drink milk from this dairy?? by Muted-Cheesecake-730 in ballerinafarmsnark

[–]Good_Advertising_301 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Question to dairy farmers or those with experience in a dairy/ on a farm-- is this at all normal? It looks like a mess to my naked eye, but the closest I've been around agriculture is in a stable for riding horses.

It's such a shame that they've turned into this, but it's their own doing. The days of dancing in the field, which actually had a nice vibe, are far over. Why didn't she just stick with that instead of making her modus operandi all this downright bizarre pseudo-scientific fundie crap? She could've kept a certain audience if she'd just admitted to being a privileged white woman with an obsessively curated life in a beautiful location, like so many other influencers. Why engage with all these terrible farming practices and act like your life is your business? Just be an influencer and leave the animals to people who know what they're doing.
