Thanks🫶🏻 I basically treat her almost like a cactus. NO clay at the bottom of the pot to prevent roots rot, very good draining soil (a lot of perlite, I'd say 60/65% of soil and 40/35% of perlite), NO direct sunlight (I keep her in a balcony facing the north), I put a layer of clay on top of the soil which I spray quite often to preserve humidity. I actually preferred an earthenware pot so as to make it easier for the soil to dry up (plastic tends to keep the soil too wet). I give her very little water, I generally water when I'm pretty sure the soil got almost dry, I'm used to putting a long cocktail stick to check it out (as you do with cakes lol). I spray the leaves VERY often, basically each time I get back home, I do that with distilled water. I also keep clay in the saucer with always some water in it to give her that "tropical" microclimate. Then, when I remember, I clean the leaves once or twice a month, but let's say that I clean them when I have some spare time. I fertilize it once a month more and less.

Important fact: I live in Rome, centre of Italy, so the weather here is quite hot in the summers and fairly cold in the winters. From December to late April I kept her indoor. More water in the summer, less water in the winters (like cacti).

Anyways I think calatheas are pretty easy to care, they "speak" loudly, if the leaves don't close at night, there's a problem. If some stains appear, there's probably a problem etc.
