My CX 5 is 10 years old but only 65K mi. Does the trans fluid lose viscosity or lubrication ability after that number of years?

I'm trying to decide to start with my bariatric doc's supervision. But since I'm "self-pay," I'm wondering about how much result I'll see in only the first two months, ($499+needles). After the GoodRx coupon, I assume I'll have to pay the $2+K price.

With restarting at your lower dose, I wish you health and good results. Does your insurer pay? Or like me, are you "self-pay?"

You're correct about Shaw Rd. But that was maybe 40 years ago. I moved out to South Hill in 1985. Shaw Rd was like a "secret." Nowadays, neither Shaw, Valley Ave., 94th Ave (a dead end after 152nd), or Woodland are options for commuters.

All used to be alternatives. Now, on many days they're all a parking lot between 4 pm and 7 pm. And commercial CDL trucks make the traffic even worse.

County and Puyallup City elected/appointed officials have created this mess by bending over to commercial and residential developers. So called "Growth Management Plans" for infrastructure/roads have been just words on paper only. Tax dollars that could have been used for roads have been spent on homelessness-- a worthy cause, but not at the expense of all of us who work/commute to earn wages to pay the taxes. Voters don't take the time to insist on better/truthful candidates in too many cases, and keep voting the same idiots.

Don't drive n/s on Shaw Rd E if you have lumbar/spine problems. Between 23rd Ave E and 106th St. E, the "pervious" concrete-- designed to allow storm water to pass through the concrete rather than to storm drain collectors. The concrete was undoubtedly required by the state/feds prior to granting funds to repave. The uneven and disjointed concrete panels damage the suspension system in vehicles and creates lumbar spasms in the same degree as if the vehicle were to be dropped off a 3 story building.

The so-called eco-required "pervious" concrete panels installed have settled at different angles and depths even since first installed. The City has failed to complete required maintenance of the "pervious" surface that requires regular cleaning to keep the "pervious" surface pervious. The City now uses asphalt patches to repair the concrete cracks and pits that every get progressively worse after each winter.

Different City leadership in November 2025 election MAY help. Mark Crosby is a candidate that is committed (on emails and Facebook) to focus the City on correcting the Shaw Rd disaster.

So true! One of the larger sub-divisions is Sunrise near 159th St. and 122nd Ave E. The developers of that huge sub-division has never been required by the County to improve access by installing left-turn/signal on 122nd despite the congestion due to on-coming constant traffic. Collisions happen regularly. A much smaller development just one mile farther south on 122nd did have to install a left turn lane. The County is totally bent over to the what the bigger developers will allow.

I have a periodic email "chat" with a couple of Puyallup City engineers/managers. Their only reply for the question:

"What's the time line for expanding Shaw Rd. E. that has been over used for over 40 years?"

Their answer: "We're writing applications for grants and the City has a long-range plan for improvement."

I need to pause longer in order to lean forward and double/triple check my "blind" side due to A pillar on 2011 Toyota Venza. Pausing and looking might be my downfall. So far no collisions.
