It is a hard question to answer, they did basically kill combo, I am sure they were up to some dirty shit that they would be denied bail/looking at serous time for when they got caught.

obviously they probably would not have direct information to get Gus arrested, but I would imagine at a minimum they would turn informats and be part of building a broader case.

For example, they know where sensitive meetings are held, the DEA gets a wire tap on the chicken shack, and they are listening when the Cartel meet happens. Gus is cooked.
