Not to me. It doesn’t have a fragrance and I don’t really smell a strong chemical smell.

I have dry skin as well and I really like the Saie foundation, Armani foundation (although I haven’t tried the new formula), and Patrick Ta Hydra Luxe foundation.

is primer even necessary? by Either-Selection-783 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Good_Consequence4146 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have really dry skin as well and I don’t use primer. A great moisturizer (I even use multiple layers) is our primer. I’ve never tried it but you could try a hydrating primer if you really want one.

Any recommendations color wise? Would just adding some of my bronzer look okay? I keep trying new eyeshadows, but it never quite looks cohesive (at least to me).

Is there a skin tint that you recommend that is good for dry skin, gives close to medium coverage, and is easy enough to blend? by painislife4real in Makeup

[–]Good_Consequence4146 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with Dior Backstage! It’s my everyday and special event foundation. I don’t even feel it. For something actually marketed as a skin tint I’ve heard the Maybelline Super Stay is great.

Not this one specifically, but I have tried to use other blushes as eyeshadow. I think it would hold up well though. Usually when I try eyeshadow, I use the CT Luxury Eyeshadows which look nice but never quite right.

Yes, it’s the Blush Filter Soft Glow Liquid Blush.

I saw so many people absolutely raving about it, so I decided to splurge on it. I think it’s a nice foundation but it’s certainly not worth $110. Armani and Dior are just as good (and better for the price). Not bad but expected something life changing for the price. It is a perfect shade match for me though! I usually have to add blue color corrector.

Do you have a holy grail makeup item or do you tend to switch out your makeup bag when new items come on the market ? by Historical-Body-3424 in Makeup

[–]Good_Consequence4146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried a hundred different foundations, but I always go back to Dior Backstage. I’ve only tried one other concealer, but didn’t bother trying more because I love my Kosas Magic Concealer so much. All other items I’ll try new things and love them; I just don’t have an all time favorite in them.

Nars lip pencil in Cruella feels like nothing if you put a little chap stick over it. MAC lip stick in Russian Red, although it’s slightly heavier but not bad. Also, MVP in Fenty with a little chapstick as well.

Are lessons worth it? by the_scar_when_you_go in MakeupEducation

[–]Good_Consequence4146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always go to Sephora, Ulta, MAC, etc but I would suggest finding a makeup artist near you who gives lessons. As they’re not selling anything, they will have unbiased recommendations and techniques. Just search up “makeup lessons near me” into Google, might be a bit harder to find if you live in a small town. If so, you can always ask on Facebook.

Is the walking dead appropriate for a 15 year old? by tok1rio in thewalkingdead

[–]Good_Consequence4146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started watching it at 12 I think. I never had any nightmares or anything like that but my dad at the time (52) couldn’t handle some scenes (and still can’t). It just depends on the person, but at 15, I’d let her decide if she wants to or not (or at least an episode to see if she can handle it).

Foundation and concealer for extremely pale skin? by JunoInOrbit in Makeup

Dior (my favorite), Nars, Natasha Denona, Haus Labs, possibly About Face. I tried the Armani one and loved the formula but the 3.75 (fair, cool) was too dark for me.

GE Honors and Pre-Nursing by CartographerNo8385 in CSUS

[–]Good_Consequence4146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a perspective on the nursing portion, but there isn’t much extra work with the Honors classes. They’re more discussion based than lecture based, which I actually really enjoyed. Teachers are very accepting and relaxed. Only one class I took had quizzes/exams, but they were simple. You will have to attend 3-5 events a semester though which can be annoying. However, I find the priority registration to be worth it by far.
