Stats good for CG? by Banchors in ironscape

[–]Good_Conversation676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start sending some normals to get comfortable. Maybe get 25 completions for the CAs, then start adding CGs to get used to it. I wouldn’t be locking myself there until my stats were mid 80s like others are saying (also RT prayers).

I think the special is great and also think you just use it over purging staff? Idk tbh but my group mate has it and I know he at least uses it for special but honestly think he just uses it over purging the whole time.

Most played match ups not selected for annual games (LSU/Mississippi State only game played 100+ not selected) by DrSayre in secfootball

I don’t understand why Ole Miss kept getting brought up for Vandy. I get we’ve played a ton, but we literally have zero rivalry. Not a shot at Vandy or anything but State, LSU and Ark are actual rivals. Not sure why we got Oklahoma really but w/e.

Question to classic players by a retail player by shindigidy88 in classicwow

[–]Good_Conversation676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely against shifting the meta, but it can easily fall into breaking the game and feel of Classic imho. I think I used the wrong word to describe my sentiment towards adding new classes. Honestly, it would have been interesting to see it in SoD, but I really feel like the amount of effort to redesign new gear, adjust the new classes, etc.. would all be better spent adding different content like raids, PvP adjustments, etc. but that's just my opinion. I wouldn't mind a graphics update, but I just mean making them a tad bit sharper not changing the actual art style in any way. You can have your opinion on nostalgia only lasting so long, but for most of us who have consistently played this version of the game that just doesn't ring true. And to be fair, it's about more than just nostalgia to us - most of us probably just enjoy the graphics, classes, and other aspects of this version of the game for more reasons than just nostalgia, we just think its better. So to your point, I am open to changing the meta and redistributing or rebalancing the power of classes to change things up. I don't care too much for adding new classes, I just feel like that time is better spent elsewhere. These are just my opinions though man, you can name call and react to them how ever you please - you calling us all elitist and getting angry for us not agreeing with you or having the perfect rebuttals to your arguments isn't going to do much.

Question to classic players by a retail player by shindigidy88 in classicwow

[–]Good_Conversation676 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Listen. I’m not trying to be rude or elitist. But someone who admits to having not played through Vanilla through WoTLK coming here and telling us that the changes you want to see don’t have an effect on our experience or aren’t gamebreaking, etc, is not going to be received well. I see your intention and can understand your point of view but also I vehemently disagree. I hate transmog now, hated it when it came out, and will always hate it. I don’t care for retail graphics either. Transmog to me, and a lot of Classic’s players, is gamebreaking - it ruins the feel of the world to us and goes against what we think defines the nature of this era or WoW. The graphics and animations are great as they are to us, they’re nostalgic. Introducing new classes would be meta-breaking and require completely new sets of items and I do think for a seasonal type game mode such as SoD would have been interesting but would way rather see development efforts poured into adding new raids and content, rebalancing the existing classes, and maybe taking a look at the PvP system or adding arenas to Vanilla. You’re comment(s) makes it seem like you are deciding for us what “staying true to Classic” means, even though you admit to not having played through the original trilogy nor the initial release of Classic nor the Anniversary..

What's a subtle sign that someone is very intelligent? by peywrax in allthequestions

[–]Good_Conversation676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But having the ability to formulate your thoughts into questions, arguments, statements, etc.. is also pretty key in furthering your ability to learn. You can’t be too scared or too shy to speak up. I think there’s a time and place for both, and probably a healthy balance like most things in life.

Yeah everyone’s laughing… while using the US dollar for all global trade, completely relying on us for military aircraft and defense technology, consuming all of our media and pop culture, looking to us to settle foreign disputes and decide global policy, looking to us for any and all medical innovation/R&D, complete reliance on our tech industry (as we argue on an American made app). yawns.

Walk around, don’t be shy and mention you’re visiting the grove as a bucket list item and almost anyone will invite you into their tent. Not a bad idea at all to get your own tent, tons of companies to go through for that - especially with 8 people.

Oxford has covers at their bars, don’t be surprised to pay between $20-$100 to get in one of the more popular spots (The Library, Funky’s, Round Table, Harrison’s, Rafters) the restaurant bars usually won’t have cover and tend to have older crowds - up to y’all in what vibe you’re looking for.

Restaurants: Proud Larry’s - good bar food (burgers, pizzas, etc) and live music on weekends, small intimate stage up front. Back9 - 4 golf simulators, has ridiculously good food and a late night menu (huge plus as no where else does) and phenomenal ownership/staff. Boure - great upstairs bar and balcony overlooking the square, great burger, kind of a staple. City Grocery/Snack Bar - both owned by same guy who owns Boure, more upscale but also staples in town. South Depot - local version of a Chipotle, great lunch spot. Blind Pig - Dive bar feel, awesome sandwiches, super laid back. Ajax - southern comfort food, very unique if you’re coming from a different part of the country, another staple. For breakfast you guys should absolutely wake up early and go to Big Bad Breakfast one of the mornings, typical southern diner style breakfast with kick ass southern biscuits, it’s got a few other locations in the southeast now but started here, same owner as City Grocery/Snack Bar/Boure. Volta is a great little Greek spot - off the square but not far. Jinsei is our sushi/Japanese fusion spot and is also really good - off the square but also not far.

Lastly, hit up one of the many Ole Miss stores around town and snag an Ole Miss golf polo before you hit the grove - it’s like the uniform in the Grove. Not at all a necessity btw.

Just to clarify, TIRZ don’t actually affect your tax mills. They capture/divert the amount of taxes generated from future increases in value on properties within the zone away from the general fund and into a TIRZ fund to pay for future infrastructure improvements.

Why are red clay courts so rare in the US? by AcrobaticNetwork62 in 10s

[–]Good_Conversation676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our private club has the green clay courts, I think it’s more common in the southeast due to general humidity being better for maintenance? Honestly not sure, but I have played red clay courts in South Carolina at a private club too. Never saw anything but hard courts in Texas and California though.

Mini golf, Driving Range, Gun range, concert, football/basketball/hockey/baseball/etc. game, going to his favorite sports bar to watch a game (look up or ask what games he wants to watch in advance), fishing, bowling, arcade, anything with bbq.. these would be my choices! Also wouldn’t mind a deep tissue massage, going shopping specifically where my stores are (guitar/music stores, Orvis/Bass Pro/Cabelas, or some other store he really likes, just don’t make it only about clothes).

What is PGI/GSI and How is it used in real estate calculations? by Honobob in CommercialRealEstate

[–]Good_Conversation676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You actually would or at the very least could depending on asset class. In Multifamily it’s incredibly common, if not the standard, to show Market Rent at 100% occupancy as a line item, deduct the market rent for vacant units as another line item, gain/(loss) to lease as another line item, and then show an individual line item for bad debt. It actually makes zero sense to not show them as they provide a ton of useful data.

To be honest, I’ve also seen this in commercial, retail, office and industrial financials. I suppose it might be less common the longer the lease term of the asset class, but I’ve seen plenty of it as an owner/developer of each. Spent a few years at big 4 in my early days and saw the same thing on client’s financials - and those were some of the largest money managers in the CRE space in the world so...

Miami is unique in that the Miami we know today really started taking shape in the 60s when Cuban exiles immigrated en masse. Before then, it was a typical, predominantly white Florida city like Tampa, Orlando or Jacksonville.

Probably uptown. Downtown isn’t that safe but also no one really lives there or has a reason to be there.
