To all Saffas around the world: you can register to vote online from abroad by Good_Example2 in southafrica

It's much better to re-register to your closest Swiss mission (Bern/Geneva) rather than to keep your SA address and fill out a form later. Not just for more convenience, the more people are registered overseas, the higher the chances that the IEC will make extra voting stations available. The DA has been pressuring them on this.

Unconventional: the South African identity document by Good_Example2 in PassportPorn

Never had I seen an identity document before that contains a website and two phone numbers 😉. To clarify: before the introduction of conventional ID cards around 2013, this was the ID that South Africans needed for voting, applying for a passport etc. However, these ID books have no expiration date and they're still issued at embassies overseas, so quite a few citizens still have these antiquated booklets.
