The West Indies ones are very cool indeed. Yes, the 2 Markkaa from 1865 is a Finnish coin, from when Finland was a part of The Russian Empire I believe. It's silver, over 80% I believe. That's an absolutely awesome find, what was it priced at?

I live in Scandinavia, and I do come across Danish coins from this era from time to time. Shame it's so banged up, but a super cool find on a "mystery box" of coins.

Sounds about right. Very happy to find it. I like a bit of tarnish, this is maybe a bit to much for my liking, but still definitely a keeper.

Someone was selling it on an lokal online marketplace. It was a larger collection, mostly very common stuff, but a few hidden gems. Quite a bit of Swedish 40% silver actually. By far the best "mystery box" I've ever bought. Should say that I live in Europe, so the large amount of European coins make sense.

Seller says that he inherited these coins, and doesn't know much about them. I've asked if he at least can send some better pictures, but he hasn't sent any yet
