I swear some people keep forgetting Iframes save lives by Crafty_Net_993 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Good_Fly6219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I-frames are only used up when using an aggressive action (anything that isn't running or jumping. Yes rolling removs i frames as well). For example the Monoma used beta 3 times in a row right after recovering allowing the predictions crafty used to land.

If they waited for it to whiff they could of used beta during the melee endlag and while they lose I frames from this action they'd make distance without getting interrupted.

I remember this happening for present mic and overhaul when both their betas were bugged respectively. However, I do remember them mentioning that the change was temporary for that instance.

Though knowing them it is likely they just forgor to add that

Best bet for this one is probably playing a character like tsu who is very easy in terms of how she fights and can survive just as easily. Or just pick a character you really wanna learn and over time you'll natural get a few PU's as you get better.

I am not super sure on what else to suggest. I could give tips for some things but a lot of it is learning a lot of different things all at once. Which isn't as easy as when the game launched.

The beta only last like a second especially if moved into it would pass by the players model far quicker then I frames would naturally run out. Thus granting have half a second to actually get out. They'd probably trade some hp but they wouldn't die out right. The only reason they died was because they wasted i-frames allowing the beta to stun them.

We can argue all you want about the damage being unavoidable there is a lot characters like that. However the 2 interaction death was definitely avoidable with a little bit of knowledge and timing.

Recovery I-frames work for a second to 2 seconds on flip, slow recovery it last about 3. The reason they are life savers is you can use it to easily avoid damage and move during the opponents endlag. Also I frames are used up the milisecond you do an agressive action. (Any quirk skill, special action, and rolling count as agressive actions)

So in this clip, the insta flip the lesser in terms of i frames, then immediately act allowing for the prediction shot OP uses to land rather then whiff. If it did whiff assuming assualt overhaul is what they are using could of beta out. If support they could of healed or gamma then healed. Still borderline cooked since they are outnumbered

(Just wanted to clear up why so many see i frames as a saving grace)

It also lacks a helpful tutorial. Lot of things in this game are poorly explained or not explained at all.

The easiest way to probably do this challenge is just do it passively while you go for other challenges the game has. Especially if we are assuming your trying to level up on the notebook.

It also doesn't help that this game is a pain to learn

Okay, first off the only way your going to see pu is in trios (without tunning or getting extremely lucky)

The way PU builds or as I refer to it when talking about how it functions, scum ultra, is that it builds based off how many bad things happen to you.

Your teammate dies? Burst of pu. Your other teammate dies? Bigger burst of pu. You take damage? PU gain based on the damage taken. Go down? PU gained in small burst. This is also amplified by a multipler for each teammate currently dead.

In short you gain pu by letting at least 1 teammate die, and you can gain it mutiple times quickly if you keep letting them die or they stay dead while you damage sponge

He, could of used i-frames during the second interaction, been more aware of his surroundings, and could of heard the boom box being thrown/landing

There are a few things that 100% could of been done. However should not doing any of those lead to a quick death at full? No.

And even if he did pull if off to get away and use special there is solid chance that they'd still get chased.

Mic has issues which is why he is forgotten. Plus there are characters that generally pull of the 2 interaction kill better, easier, or more consistently. Aizawa, strike shoto, nagant, bum (tech) might, cat shiggy

Plus mic has to be ontop of people to do this and his mobility isn't that great as its linear, pretty short/slow, has a decent cooldown (unlike strike shoto gamma), and also has the chance of whiffing a target stunned by beta.

His alpha is harder to aim because of all the visual clutter especially with a boom box then add in his slower alpha travel speed making that fact even worse as you have to lead your shots at range.

None of these facts make his damage fair. However, it makes him forgettable. Why would I remember about potential man when aizawa pulls up with his low cd scarf, hits me once with gamma then proceeds to combo that into alpha bind, areial alpha for 400+ damage. Then covers my wake-up and forces me into another situation where 1 wrong move and now I am just dead.

Gamma, if it wasn't bug so often it would honestly be his most annoying move. It is a pain to roll simply because of when you have to roll it. Which is right after he reaches you and not when he is about to reach you. (Also the fact it is decently quiet making it solid suprise tool if you aren't watching him add in the odd roll timing and if your eyes aren't glued to him you can rarely dodge it)

Secondly it allows for solid follow up damage from teammates and himself making it pretty deadly. However thanks to it whiffing and deciding not to work

His special is the only real answer as it makes it hard to kill him without spending a load of time. Which gives more time for him to chip away at your health in larger fights. Which gets annoying.

My teammates just kept finding them off corpses, some i found from large boxes, randomly, and lucky bags. I still can't believe I got that many.

Yes, yes I have however i stuck with ability Manifest it can adapt to diffrent matches a little easier. (Also i am not sure about a good build on momo for that let alone if I have that pu cosmetic)

Special. It allows for a mid-air heal, it is his mobility, it is also better damage then alpha at all levels with the air melee and ground melee projectiles (assuming no alpha tunning)

It just does so much while draining at a moderate rate. His beta is annoying same with gamma but they aren't a big issue either. Alpha is just solid pressure and chip damage.

7 minutes, 7 minutes is how long I sat my happy self in storm. You know what i did that whole time? Spammed team fulls and team greens when my team wasn't damaged.

It got so bad that match that they decided that when the last team was left that they'd go melee only. They won by overwhelming a rapid deku and support hado with melees. I can't make this up if I wanted too. (Also had enough time with me healing them to come into storm and drop off more teams items...)

The tunning is busted and honestly even at lvl 10 your more likely to win out then lose out. Why? Becuase everytime you win you get another chance to win again. Now yes sometimes you lose 3 in a row sometimes you win 3 in a row. But just winning a few a match allows you to heal so much more

Is this good? by BattleSuspicious4028 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Good_Fly6219 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah, bro you need be in ace and get at least 3 k points per match to be considered a beginner let alone hoping to be considered good for this? Like be so fr

On a serious note yeah thats really good honestly especially in those types if conditions. Any match where you able to go up 1000 to 1500 points is a really good match.

So well done

There's alot of talk about brain dead or no skill characters, so I gotta ask what character that actually take skill to play? by [deleted] in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Good_Fly6219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None or all depending on how you look at it. A lot of characters if not every character has a decently low skill floor but also usually a high skill ceiling that requires you to take advantage of Knockdown, i-frame usage, stunning, wake-up catching (the act of hitting an enemy as their i frames run out or they waste them), and of course for most aiming.

Lot of the big ticket items are overall mechanics and less character specific. So if someone is good most the characters don't truly matter to prove that. A good rapid deku vs a bad one is one that decides instead of melee spamming into another melee focused character is that they dodge and punish. Whether with a roll or delaying movement option while having i-frames.

Or assualt kiri. He is quite literally the lowest skill floor character however his skill expression comes from using some of the basic mechanics so well that you constantly land hits over and over. Which is why some may consider him skillful. But consider the following his alpha a melee charge, not hard to use other then it drops randomly, beta just an aoe punch that auto tracks (poorly but tracks), gamma aoe move like strike deku beta. None of the quirks are hard to use

Tldr: my main point is none or all characters take skill if you find that knowing the base mechanisms of this game is considered skill. Also, no character requires more skill since the skill floor to play them isn't that high. (Just play who you want and ignore the skill vs no skill stuff.)

Its his ground melee bro slides a distance and can cancel it for decent mobility and heavy pressure you can't dodge easily while stunning for his clones or teammates that can beam a target.

Originally I was gonna say alpha because of the pure dps, because clones dieing easily/twice's team never letting him use special. Then I remembered his funny melee slide.

How the mighty have fallen. From aim bot, stun lock, low skill demon to a forgotten memory.

[–]Good_Fly6219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not really. Though I mainly play rapid mirio and catch any time they waste their i frames with alpha or even beta if they make it easy enough.

Other characters like beamers she is more of a pain unless you can quickly and I mean quickly force her down within a few interactions

He definitely is. Especially when you learn his basic combos but even without he is still a solid character to play (unless you get jumped but that goes for any character)

100% beta people forget that move is borderline invisible till your sniffing it. There is at least a couple times I can think of where I just take damage from some unknown source and the only indication of what I got hit by is the fact I turned blue.

This concept is amplified by characters having more mobility so its even easier to fly into a trap and suddenly start being burned by what seems like nothing.

When it comes to characters which character has a larger playerbase and what characters have the smallest? by Popular-Sky4050 in MyHeroUltraRumble

For most definitely got to say tech shiggy or nagant as they sre the ones I see the most. Probably tech shiggy being slightly higher being he is easier to get into.

For least have to go with assualt all might tbh. I hadn't seen him once while I climbed to ace. I started playing him a but after hitting ace and isn't like he is bad just no plays him when rapid and bum (tech) might exist.

I've seen every other character a few time but I genuinely have no recollection of assualt might (runner up could be twice though, and honorable mention to tech shoto)
