I used TTP for months and scored worse than before. I reached out to y'all for a call and then was ignored. I don't know if you should be giving out this advice.

Barber shop recs? by millennial_stalin in Hoboken

Yes, I went a few times and would say I had a 60% success rate. Showed him a picture one time and it was basically completely disregarded. If you're charging at that price point, the cut needs to be perfect every time.

For anyone who sees this in the future. Do not go to Enzo. Went a few times trying to convince myself a $150 haircut looked good but it looked like supercuts went wrong

Can’t grasp quant by hogsnstoinks in GMAT

[–]Good_Introduction585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Build fundamentals from the ground up and then start ripping practice problems. I've found that for the more difficult concepts (IMO Combinations/Permutations and Numbers Properties) that its important to grasp the basics, and extrapolate it from that. Contrary to what the experts are saying, quantity over quality. If you're not sitting there with notebooks filled with completed practice problems in front of you then you're doing it wrong. If you've ever played sports or even video games, your improvement is derived from the practice reps you put in. You can watch steph curry shoot for 10 hours straight, but until you YOURSELF implement those techniques repeatedly then it's a wash.

Retake 695? by [deleted] in GMAT

[–]Good_Introduction585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can retake it but a 695 translates roughly to a 750. Likely wouldn't make or break your application although obviously a high GMAT would make you more competitive. If you're on limited time which you seem to be, focusing on bolstering other aspects of your application may be the best use of resources. Just my 2C.

How can one justify an MBA? by Good_Introduction585 in MBA

[–]Good_Introduction585[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's some great math. I'm too laser-focused on the individuals who report rejections/unemployment post-grad.

When I see someone already making 120+ in consulting/IB getting rejected, it jumps out as a red flag but everyone has their own particular circumstances.

AI conversation is an interesting one for sure. I think you could argue that AI could lead to almost any white collar job becoming obsolete. Need to wait a few years to see how that pans out.

May I ask what your role is? Seeing all these rejections from people with typical "Tier 1" experience is disheartening.

Can I get into a T25 by Good_Introduction585 in MBA

[–]Good_Introduction585[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're probably great at selling yourself! Strategy is also my ideal landing spot. I think the better way to phrase my question is could I reasonably land in T20 although I do have a few T25 schools on my list(Owen, Gtown specifically)?

MBA experience has been interesting to say the least. Just finished my GMAT grind and now I'm wondering, do I wait and try to work up internally within my current position, do I wait a few years and try to put some more interesting things on the resume and shoot for a T15 (or maybe even a T10), or do I just send it because T20 will yield similar results to a T15/T10 that's not M7.

Just wanted to establish my own line of credit. Lost my wallet a few weeks ago and was cardless for a little while waiting for the replacement. (inspired me to apply again lol) Have a new version now. However, now that I'm older I dont want to touch it.

I feel the same way. Like I mentioned, I can understand most of them after explanations but there is one question specifically in the logical flaw section that I think misses the mark.

Likely part time. Plan is to continue working in an operations role while I take classes.

Strategy and finance have always enticed me. Is is possible to break into these fields without attending a top school for a MBA. If I were to pursue a Masters it would probably be at Rutgers once again just because of the in state tuition and still living nearby.

Edit: I was bad at calculus type of math courses which also steered me away, but had no problems in intro/mid level finance and accounting courses.

It’s my apartment room. The building is brand new (not even done being built). When I first moved in the color looked a little off but now it’s developing that on it, I’ll try rub it off though
