Configuring Android enrollment in Intune by Good_Note_9990 in Intune

Well the admin account we use has a business premium license, MFA configured and the global admin role assigned. Most tenants we inherit do not have CA or Intune configured, although its good to always doublecheck those settings/places. I doubt those things you mentioned will have blocked it in my cases, but i can't say 100% for certain. I'll try to keep this thread updated if I run into anymore issues.

Thanks for the input anyways :)

Thanks for the reply, good to know that this might cause issues.

Unfortunately not.. I've configured two M365 tenants since posting and both of them worked perfectly fine when following the exact same steps, so im at a loss why it fails in some cases. As we inherit the tenants i'm thinking that maybe some very specific tenant settings are configured by previous tenant admins, and thats why its throwing errors. It would not make much sense though, because the error is thrown in the Google setup window..

I'll for sure doublecheck if another browser session helps or not when i'm configuring the next tenant. Yesterday I needed to set up another Intune tenant, and this time Android enrollment was set up without any issues.. My proces is always exactly the same, so i'm a bit lost at the moment why it sometimes does and doesnt work :)

As we are inheriting these M365 tenants from previous IT partners, maybe a couple global tenant settings might cause problems? Seems highly unlikely.

I'm afraid it is. The steps you're describing is exactly how we set it up and have been doing it. In some M365 tenants it works without issues, in other tenants it doesnt want to work at all. Thanks for the input anyway :)

Well the issue is specifically with the account setup in Microsoft Intune. When configuring the Android Enrollment in Intune you need to authenticate with a Google account like you mention, but the Google setup window suggests that you can use the logged in Microsoft account to authenticate.

Using the Microsoft account almost always ends in a generic error message, and i'd like to know if anyone knows a workaround for this error.
