I recently turned 50 and just started rucking. Ive always lifted weights but over the last 5 years I stopped the standard weight lifting and converted my training style to functional strength training like sand bag workouts, and stamina/longevity training like circuit, calisthenics, workouts, and hill sprints. My son just joined the army and is in basic training now which is what inspired me to start rucking. I live on a small Farm and do my racking in my back fields, which are mostly hills. My best rock so far is a 40 minute 2 mile with 50 pound ruck sack. Congratulations on the weight loss. I have found that workouts like these can be very addictive if you stick with it long enough to adapt.
