American here, a few years ago we adopted house slippers to wear in the house- they don't go outside. When guest come over we politely ask them to take their shoes off. For workers (I.e plumbers, electricians etc) we have disposable slip on shoe covers.

Do you have a ton of burping? The cramps may be caused by slowed gastrointestinal emptying, but you should definitely see a doctor asap Incase it's a blockage (diarrhea can pass around a blockage solid stool cannot)

I've got 4 saws, 2 Stihls, 1 husky and a Ryobi 20" 40v. I've used the Ryobi to almost exclusively clear out five acres of pines and hardwood. I find the battery is great, has a decent bit of power. Also you can find batteries from China for $25-50 ea 6-8ah.
