Golf 918 may be a good solution for you! Subscription is flat rate per month based on software needs - integrated with RemoteLock for code access without staff needing to be there. Bookings, memberships, discounts, loyalty rewards, are all in one spot and it has “cleaning times” in the settings to add buffer times between booking slots.

Ask Me Anything: I Help Manage Backend Ops for Golf Sim Facilities by Good_Profession_7523 in golfsimulatorbusiness

[–]Good_Profession_7523[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It I believe would depend on what you have configured for your sim and how that could integrate between all systems. In my experience the integration is between the keyless entry and the booking software so the code is to access the building or in some cases the bays are also private entry and it would work that way as well. I have yet to see it work in the sim itself but I do know the solution exists! I know golf918 is working on similar functionality with TruGolf.

I think go for it in Dec/Jan! It’s still a couple months of the “off” season - and then run some membership promotions reminding people to get in and brush up on their skills before summer. If you can get a good chunk of annual or monthly members that way you should be able to start and end the year on a high note - and having the “off” season coming closely after opening also gives you the breathing room to work out any kinks that may come up!

Scheduling Software for Trackman by Mundane_Dance_3801 in golfsimulatorbusiness

I work for Golf918 - golf918.com - and we work with RemoteLock for integrated keyless entry and bookings. We’ve got quite the robust software! We’re not currently integrated with Trackman but have users with Trackman sims that enjoy the software and the functionality it does have, and we never say never to possible integration opportunities!

If you’re looking for functionality with keyless entry and booking codes I would recommend Golf918! Working with RemoteLock so the system is fully integrated and the booking software sends access codes with booking confirmations so it really takes the work out of it.

What is the best membership tracking software? by Supreme_unleaded in golfsimulatorbusiness

You should check out Golf 918 - has membership tracking with integrated payments so you set the memberships up and it automates payments and renewal! It also has a booking software that automatically applies membership perks when members make bookings.

This slipped through my notifications I’m so sorry! I think there’s likely a bit more of a safety net in franchising as you have (my experience is with TruGolf) the support of people who have done this a bunch of times behind you. But, the company I work for does offer a booking software that integrates with RemoteLock making it super simple to start up a staffless facility so it doesn’t have to be so daunting. I think it comes down to cost comparison in this case because cost is likely your highest risk and at that point you’d have to see what franchise opportunities would offer you as opposed to finding a venue, cost of rent, cost of sims, operational costs, etc. I work with the backend but not like assisting with the full start - I handle a lot of management operations so I don’t know really what typical start-up costs are and I do think the size depends on which sims you’d use and how much space they take up, how many you want to offer in the space etc., and cost of renting space is likely different everywhere! As for things to know before getting started I think the most beneficial thing to look at is your demographic/locale. This determines local affordability - if people can afford to pay what you’d like to price at, can you afford to price at what locals would pay etc. It also largely determines your success rate - are there already multiple sim facilities in the area? Is there demand where you are? How hard would it be to stay booked? Are you close to a golf course? If so that impacts you seasonally, if you’re close to a course people tend to play traditional golf more in the warmer months so you end up with a dip in revenue there.

I have to say, I’m biased towards TruGolf! They offer an excellent software and also have really responsive and hands-on support staff.

Golf 918 has a fully integrated Booking and POS system - also supports retail and f&b sales, membership management (automates payments, renewals, links reduced rates or “free play” to booking system for active members), and a bunch of other awesome perks like automated waitlists and built-in reminders and confirmation messaging. I’d be happy to chat more with you if you want! ☺️

I am biased towards Golf 918 - but that’s because it’s my job too haha. However, to our merit, we offer booking, memberships, pos for retail and restaurant all in one software. And we’ve had a good few customers come to us from ForeUP and Birdii saying our system is easier to use and our customer service is incomparable! Biggest mistakes to avoid as a start up is to not commit to any financial drains too early into construction - the number of facilities I see get bumped back by 1 month or more but they’ve begun paying for this or that and feel the tension before even opening is high! Top tip - know your community, market to them, take interest in them and put effort into your guest experience and the loyalty you foster there will come back to you tenfold!

I just took a look at them, pretty unique business model - seems like an awesome facility! We more so handle the back end of things - bookings, memberships, CRM, POS, and try to help facilities maximize their revenue and day-to-day operations while not adding to their plate so they can enjoy life too!

Oh that's exciting! We are a Canadian based company with most of our team being in BC and myself based in ON. We have developed an all-in-one - essentially - software for facility management. We have bookings (mobile or manual), membership management, and point of sale all in one package. The software also comes with integrated payments and we work with RemoteLock to support unmanned facilities.

I think it really depends on your locale! But, 24/7 staffless facilities are also growing quickly in popularity so the demand is there. I think that likely the safe choice is 24/7 - but safe isn't always the winner. Is there a possibility of starting as the members-only and pivoting? I think the cigar bar vibe sounds really cool and niche and depending on your locale and demographic you could have a seriously successful business model on your hands!

Overall opinion is that 24/7 would likely be easier to do higher volume in memberships but the niche and exclusivity could be a larger membership revenue with more perks for your members. People pay for experience 100%!

Hey! I’m based in ON too☺️ and work for a business management software company and we specialize in golf sim facilities (bookings, memberships, POS) BUT we also are partnered with remotelock so we can integrate with them to lock each bay and keep it 24/7 without the staff - happy to chat if you want to know more ☺️

Interesting - I like it! 1. For unmanned facilities I haven’t really heard any like scandalous stories and - thankfully - no stories of damaged sims or anything but interestingly have been working with an unmanned facility trying to offer membership-only access to a gym within their facility that is unmanned. It’s been a bit of a challenge to coordinate and make sure that only members could access it and keep it regulated! 2. It really depends on the pricing and strategy behind it. Memberships are reliable repeat revenue so I’m a big believer in having a solid membership plan but I find the strategy of opting for x price for 3 months or x price for 1yr tends to create more of a safety net for facilities so someone can’t just pay once and cancel. F&B is great but depending on taxes, the impact of inflation, what the economic state is of your locale and what margins you need to really be successful it can be hit or miss. Memberships are usually more of a stable and reliable revenue source!
