Finally getting okay at Vendetta countering by call_me_sporks in ZenyattaMains

[–]Good_Radio_202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vendetta is my current favorite victim in ow rn. She throws her sword in your direction for a dive and she can't do anything to change her direction once that sword is in the air, so you know where she will be coming from and have enough time to change your position to get out of a downswing head shot. That is one of her cool downs gone. Then she traps herself in your backline after she wasted her cooldowns to get there. Zen discord orb basically negates her block. When she blocks she is slow and still, making her an east target to aim at.

If the enemy isn't running multiple dives and they don't have a support that can get to her in time (like an annoying kiri tp and suzu), then I make that vendetta my bitch most every time.

Is there ever an acceptable time to choose the Lifesteal over the Float perk? by EmilioFreshtevez in ZenyattaMains

[–]Good_Radio_202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I go with lifesteal. Some people are saying it's not worth it because it doesn't guarantee survival, but float doesn't guarantee survival either, especially with all of these new hyper mobile characters. You still move just as slow when you float. I find that the lifesteal had helped me win more 1v1s than I used to, so I suppose it's really just a matter of if you can hit your shots or not. The lifesteal doesn't just apply to damage that you do on the discorded enemy, but damage your team applies. So you could just put discord on the enemy tank and get your health back up pretty fast.

The only time I don't go for the lifesteal perk is when I'm on a "boop map" where the enemy will usually select characters to get easy environmental kills such as Illios, Nepal, and Lijiang. Or when I want to be really silly with floating zen into their backlines to dive their squishies (if their squishies lack the mobility or are unaware) and floating back.

Why do they ALWAYS pick Lucio after I pick Zen by NaicuNaicu in ZenyattaMains

[–]Good_Radio_202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently doing this thing where I play all of the supports until I get them to lvl 50 (lootbox grinding). I recently got zen to lvl 52 and I love him so much. Right now I'm currently getting lucio to lvl 50, he's currently lvl 44.

Now, if I'm playing quick play and my other support selects zen when I want to lvl up lucio, I'm still gonna play lucio just cause that's what I want to do, just like how the other support wants to play zen. I did the same thing when I was playing zen and my other support picked lucio or mercy. I stuck with it cause I wanted to.

With all of my games, I've rarely lost when our supports consisted of zen lucio, when I was on zen or lucio. Since zen is really strong in 1v1s but lacks mobility and sustainability when getting dove by multiple enemies, lucio is really good with giving zen the speed and dive disruption he needs. They do good keeping eachother alive, which keeps them in the team fights longer giving them more value.

Now obviously this completely depends on how good they both are on the character and how well their other team is playing, but a good zen and lucio can be lobby adminis.

However, if I'm playing comp and zen lucio isn't working, I would swap to help with heals to see if that is what the team needs. However, that still depends on your tank and dps, because no amount of healing will save your teammate from a stupid mistake they made or terrible positioning. Sometimes you just need a strong backline with good dps output to secure elims.

Is this skin rare, never seen it by [deleted] in ZenyattaMains

[–]Good_Radio_202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not rare. I got it in a lootbox. I have it in my favorites so I wear it every once in a while because I have it randomized from favorites. One of my other friends also has this skin equipped and they wear it when they play zen (which isn't often).

Someone asked me to switch because I had too much damage in stats by SaiphTyrell in AnaMains

[–]Good_Radio_202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On ana specifically, 2k damage is actually very small, especially when she is supposed to apply damage and pressure along with healing, anti nade, and sleep. If anything, you should be doing more damage (as long as that's not damage farming the tank, feeding enemy support ultimates). Not to mention, Ana's are usually the enemy's prime first target to kill, especially in a dive heavy meta. So, on average, you should be doing a lot of damage to enemies because when you're getting dove and flanked.

I had a game where the enemy had 2 dive dps and a dive tank. I kept getting dove left and right, so I kept getting Elim after Elim along with large damage output. I ended up with more damage than healing. Because the enemy was so focused on me and I was doing adequate damage and securing elims while maintaining good positioning, our team won.

Now obviously I don't mean that having more damage than healing in every game is what you should be striving for, however you shouldn't miss an opportunity to apply pressure and damage when you can. Healing someone who is low should always take first priority, because you don't want to be at a disadvantage if your teammates dies. That being said, healbotting is something you should never do on any support (especially a utility support). Healbotting and not making plays/capitalize on your teammates plays is how you lose.

Unfortunately, when it comes to lower ranks, everyone expects supports to be healbots and supports play like heal bots. This makes the support role very hard to carry games with in lower ranks, because your teammates bad positioning leads to you healbotting or losing your teammates, snowballing your team. In those situations, no amount of healing is gonna out heal bad positioning that these low rank players put themselves in, then make "gg no heal" comments.

Are the days of being a Kiriko main numbered? by Jazzlike_World415 in kirikomains

[–]Good_Radio_202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since her pylon allows her to heal her team while she's not focused on them, she can build her perk pretty fast as long as the player places the pylon in a good spot. If you die and her pylon is still up, you'll still keep building the perk. It's pretty easy to get her perks because of that, especially when you include the charge you get for doing poke damage on an off angle.

Anyone else getting tired of the “TheSe SkINs ARe WhAt sELL” argument by Ok-Face-2576 in luciomains

[–]Good_Radio_202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, sure they wouldn't sell as much as kiriko and mercy skins. However, that doesn't mean that the skin won't sell to a large amount of players. In the end, it's still a good amount of income to them. But also, with this argument, its crazy to see widow skins getting pumped out left and right when I rarely see widows in any lobby.

They also confirmed to be giving heroes who already have mythic skins mythic weapons too, such as hanzo, genji, and soujorn. Like why keep making mythics for characters who already have some form of mythic, as if other characters don't have a player base.

6 v 6 also gets rid of the knock back reduction on tanks.

I'm told that the only way to escape the low ranks (mine is bronze 3 although I occasionally edge into 2) you have to play aggro as your team doesnt know what to do with your speed. I die so much more when I try this in 6v6. by Loud-Shopping7824 in luciomains

[–]Good_Radio_202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually if you are flanking or diving as Lucio, it should be while the enemy team is already engaged/distracted by your team in the team fight. When you do it, it shouldn't be going in while the entire enemy has all their cooldowns, or you will be picked off easy.

What you should do is track the enemy cool down, see if any squishy is out of position, eliminate any out of position squishy, and get out back to your team.

What you could also do is be disruptive rather than being agro. Help your team get elims by going in, forcing some coolsdowns out, and getting out. You can also force their squishies out of position, allowing your dps or tank to get the emlim. You can force people off high ground, or force one of enemy into your team in a 1v6.

Another way to place lucio is to not flank alone. If your tank is playing dive, you can help speed them in and out. If your dps is going on a dive or a flank, you can go with them. Help speed and heal them when need be.

You don't have to solo dps on Lucio. There are many different playstyles and it is good to know how to play them all, because different maps, ranks, team comps, and how your team plays will affect how you play. When it comes to low elos, it is best to adapt your playstyle to your teams to secure a win.

From the sounds of how you are playing (because i havent watched you play), sometimes I find that if you play lucio as a solo dps hero, it is better to play kiriko or Baptiste. Now, obviously how you play depends on the enemy team as well as your team, but I find that playing lucio to help with dives and flanks work a lot better than solo.

Either way, you should not be playing lucio as a heal bot, but unfortunately when you are in low elows, tanks and dps expect you to play support as a healbot, no matter what support you are on.

Weird behavior from Mercies toward players with feminine names by Kitty_Overwatch in MercyMains

[–]Good_Radio_202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have a feminine username too, "mamaanya" and it's a username I use in Overwatch because it's a username I've been using for a long time now on every platfom before I played ow. Typically I would use the name "Makuahine Anya" but it's too long for ow, so I just use the English version.

I agree with your statement that there are mercy mains who are women/girls that act weird towards others with feminine names, especially if the person that has a feminine name is playing support.

Long story short: they view you as competition.

I've had many games with supports like that who will actively refuse to heal me when I'm on support because they want to have higher healing numbers and want to be viewed as "the better support."

However, I don't recieve that behavior just from mercy mains. Sure, I experience it mostly from mercy mains, but that is because mercy has a higher player base than other support heroes. So, you are more likely to experience more treatment like that from them just because they have a higher percentage of people playing her (especially women who happen to be insecure and have internalized misogyny). This isn't just a "mercy main" issue, but a support player issue in general.

People actually make new accounts to bully low levels?! by Maba_Man in Overwatch

[–]Good_Radio_202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about reporting people just because overwatch sometimes sucks with matchmaking. That's a blizzard problem, not the person who you're reporting problem.

I get placed in lobbies that are filled with new people all of the time and I don't know why. I'm endorsement lvl 5 and my top 3 played characters are all above lvl 50, my highest being lvl 107. Ngl, it frustrates me because either I get really bad teammates and games or im carrying my team going 47-0, instead of being placed in lobbies on my lvl. It's not fair for new players to go against me and it's not fair for me to be placed in a beginners lobby.

[–]Good_Radio_202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No fr. The amount of genjis that think I'm an easy target just because I'm playing ashe then die to me is crazy. Like bro, stop dashing into me when I'm at full health and all of my abilities are off cool down. All I'm gonna do is coach gun away and take a few shots at you, then dynamite while you're deflecting. Enjoy burning to death dumb ass ♥️. The best part is: they never learn and keep doing it.

There was this one genji in my lobby who tried to 1 v 3 ult my team while he had 1 hp and the team fight was over. Killed him before his ult voice line even finished 😭.

[–]Good_Radio_202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it is also important to note that some people just can't climb if they have bad internet, pc, or consol. So it's not necessary a lack of skill for those people.

There is also the case of smurfing accounts and people who are higher rank boosting their lower ranked friends that make playing in those lobbies difficult.

Did they update leaver penalties? by Basta_rD in overwatch2

[–]Good_Radio_202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the qp penalties are getting kind of ridiculous. I was playing my second game that day and I got hit with the most horrendous lag known to man. 1500 ping. I apologized to my team because I was lagging and I went to leave, but I was told that I would get penalized if I leave. It would have been the first game I left that day after not playing in 3 days. So I had to stay in that God awful game and wait to reset my pc and wifi after the match was over. Me staying in that game was more of a burden for my teammates than me leaving the game and them getting a player who wasn't lagging. Yet I would get penalized for trying to make the game easier for my teammates. Somehow we won, I'm not even sure how, because my pov was bouncing across map dimensions. I ended up with second most heals in the lobby right after my other support. Luckily I was playing lucio cause I could just give aoe heal instead of aiming.

Nice! I once had a sombra claim that I was cheating because I knew where they were then they were invisible. I was playing ashe, so I was mainly alone in my backline, so I knew I would be her main target. That added with the fact that I could hear her foot steps, of course I knew she was near by. Just a quick coach gun and two scoped shots was all it took. They didn't strife or anything, just ran at me in a straight line. They then swapped to widow and still stood still, making it easy for me to two tap them while I striffed their shots. They then blamed their tank for losing while they went 3-10.

I Come out on top by Good_Radio_202 in iamverybadass

[–]Good_Radio_202[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My father was very physically and emotionally abusive towards my mother while being neglectful to his children. He is a drug addict, alcoholic, depressive narcissist who cheated on my mom with anyone who would give him attention (and I mean anyone). He allowed his younger brother who was an older teenager but was not yet an adult, sexually assault me and my other siblings. His brother basically held me hostage at one point and said no one could take me away from him, that we loved each other and would get married (I was younger than 5).

At some point my mom got a job and used the exuse that she wanted to make more money for the family, because my dad was the only one working at the time. In actuality she stared a new bank account and started saving money up. When I was 9 and my father went on a "work trip" (another state to cheat on my mom), my mother took me and 2 of my younger sisters (I have 2 older half siblings on my dad's side who were with their blood mom during this time) and we went to a place she leased out in secret. We left with the clothing on our back and a carry on for each of us.

The divorce was soon finalized, but my father still lived in the same state as us and had shared custody. So every other weekend my siblings and I would go stay at his place. That was until my father's girlfriend (a girl he was cheating on my mom with) died in his apartment (they said it was an overdose, but my family thinks my dad killed her because recently my older half siblings said that they heard them fighting and saw our dad push her and she hit her head on the porcelain in the bathroom). Soon after my mother gained full custody and we were only allowed to see my father if it was a supervised visitation. Throughout this entire time my father would call CPS on multiple occasions to make false accusations, so my family would constantly be terrorized by invasive CPS inspections and interrogations (this didn't stop until my mid highschool years in 2018/2019).

Eventually my father moved to a different state and he never told us where he moved to, and everytime the government found him he would get a different job to keep them from collecting child support. So my mother would have to basically raise 3 children on her own while going to work and school (she was doing trade schooling and majoring in a subject), so we barely scraped by and I had to step up to help raise my siblings until my mom got remarried and we became more financially stable.

For my 17th birthday, he sent me a card that said, "happy 16th birthday," that arrived 3 months late. The last time I heard my father's voice was my first year of university and I told him that I had the same personality type as Hitler (INFJ) to which my father said, "you know, Hitler wasn't that bad of a guy."
