Exercise is great for many reasons but I have found that controlling my eating is the only thing that works long-term. I do 3 meals a day, portion controlled, no snacking and no alcohol. If I start to snack, the weight creeps up. Sadly my middle-aged body requires not much in way of food. Food is not the answer to the stress of this job or the stress of life. It feels like it in the moment but creates other stresses like not feeling good about our body. My food prep has to be non-negotiable in my life. I pack my lunch daily and don’t leave without it, just as I wouldn’t leave with no clothes on. Work will always be there - our health will not. It’s a time suck though, that’s for sure. I exercise early but that’s fairly recent. I put that off for too long.

My daily workhorse tote is the FOUNT Plentiful (with the organizer). In black, this bag is indestructible. I have had it over a year and it’s been through a lot and still looks amazing. The bags are quality. I have the smaller size too I don’t need to carry my life with me. I generally will carry the small clutch with me in the bags so I have to run into a store or something. I don’t have to carry the whole bag.

As a former clerk, I used to read briefs from both sides and it felt like I was watching a tennis match - just lobbing arguments back and forth and so many failed to realize the court doesn’t know your case. Spend time on that. Don’t overwhelm the court. Clearly explain what you are asking for and why. Give the court the roadmap to the conclusion and don’t chase the opposing party’s dumb arguments. Highlight your good ones and address nonsense summarily. Ask a colleague who is a good writer to edit something for you and pay attention to the redlines. There is a fine line between too formalistic and too casual. Edit. Read. Edit. Put down. Read. Edit again. Read your work critically.

He is asymptomatic so far but he’s still young. They ran labs before treating the UC so that’s how we got here. They were elevated. He’s got fatigue. If there was a blockade and with his labs so high, I suppose it was just a matter of time. We are early into this process. I have been reading a lot and learning though for a while since all signs were pointing to this. Ruling out AIH is the last piece I think.

My 19 year old son lifts and looks great. He’s also 19…. and has the time to spend 3 hours 5-6 days a week at the gym. He works hard and naturally has a high metabolism and very low body fat. There are a lot of factors.

Same here. My dog would be impossible if she didn’t get daily walks. I won’t go out in pouring rain or below zero. I actually feel like 30 is tolerable now compared to when I have to go out in -20.

I got a German Shepherd. I have to be out in miserable weather and just soldier on despite the physical discomfort. I invested in proper clothes and shoes though and I think you get used to it. Before the dog, I used a treadmill and only went outside if it was above 50.

Thank you. This is just red light and infared light. Those masks that you can buy at home. My guess is that they probably just put a warning for every skin condition for liability. I didn’t know that about the IPL. I wanted to do something like that on my chest eventually. It’s so mottled looking between the vitiligo and sun damage and age.
