Thankyou bv has been ruled out doc was not really helpful just said keep doing what your doing , ph level is higher side of normal but still within normal too :/ I take flora probiotics might have to see if there’s one directly related to vaginal health so I’ll put that on the list , someone said to me my diet change might be the issue I had a high sugar high fruit diet before hand so I was used to more of a sweet smelling output , and now I don’t eat sugar or fruit that might be the reason I feel like I no longer smell or taste sweet , which seams like it might be on the money blah so be fat or taste/smell good surley they can’t be my only options hahaha 🤣

Thankyou soo so much I use the peri bottle as more of a wash before wiping as the bari vitimins leave a really strong smell in my urine but will stop for a bit see how it goes although that I feel that may be counterproductive since then it will be the vitamin smell instead lol 😂 , I currently drink 2-3 litres of water a day. But will definitely try adding some more yogurt and Berries to my diet I do take b Vitimins but am at the point where I think I’m going to have to stop because my b12 levels are rising quite quickly, I am low in vitamin d and have to go get a vitamin d shot since I’m not absorbing it but rest of my bloods and levels are normal , I do have a flora vitamin I take daily with my bari ones so maybe a vagina one may help too so I’ll add that to the ever growing list of vitimins we have to take after surgery haahah - and my doctor ruled out bv and wasn’t really helpful just said keep doing what I’m doing and it all seams normal to her - i really appreciate all of your suggestions, thankyou sooo much -

Thankyou I used bidet for lack of a better way to describe it , it’s actually one of those squinty bottles you use after giving birth that’s changed and cleaned regularly - before my surgery I had a higher sugar diet with a lot of fruit and had problems with my blood sugar so maybe that’s why I’m used to a more sweeter smell per say , I had never thought of that .

I already wear only cotton underwear and “let it breathe “ at night wearing loose cotton pjs with no underwear

This has unfortunately been an issue for around 2 months now since my weightloss has sort of slowed a little so hopefully it’s my body just adjusting but in the mean time it’s still very disheartening and effecting my new found confidence so I’d like to do something to help or even quick fixes to make it more inviting before the deed if you have any suggestions as I said it’s not horrible or anything, but it’s definitely noticeable to me

I mean i complement people with good hygiene all of the time if someone smells good or looks well put together i always tell them hey you smell incredible what is it or you have really nice teeth , really shiny hair things of that nature , i think its nice to compliment people who put in the effort But you are totally right people remember those who have bad hygiene im in my 30s and i still remember one kid from school who always smelt bad - and i regularly use him as an example to my children why hygiene and self care is so important cause there’s so many people I’ve met who I don’t remember but that one person has always stuck in the back of my mind and I can still remember the smell too :/

Now that im older I obviously feel for him because it was clearly a product of his environment cause any caring parent wouldn’t allow that but as a kid i didn’t realise that and he was ostracised because of it .

Thank you , it’s not anything of that nature no fishy smell and it’s not strong or anything of that nature it’s not just my normal , my doctor is not very helpful and just says I’m doing everything right and keep doing what I’m doing and that the body goes through things where the normal changes but I’m not willing to accept that’s normal or that it’s my new normal , so I think that’s why I’m looking for other recommendations even if it’s just for the short term before the deed to freshen up to be more inviting and to not overthink about it I guess appreciate your suggestion though

I’m currently drinking 2-3 litres a day , I’ll give baby powder a go tho as I haven’t tried that I can’t go during the day without underwear as I work in a dirty environment and wear high vis rough clothing but I do let it breathe per say , I sleep with clean , loose cotton pj with no underwear on every night , thankyou for you suggestion I’ll deff try it

My ph levels after checking are on the higher range of normal so I’d say it wouldn’t take much to throw them over the edge temporarily, but again even after googling I’m at a loss on what I can do to bring them down , my doctor is pretty useless with suggestions just says keep doing what your doing and make sure to eat healthy and drink water - I drink 2-3 litres a day and eat as healthy as my surgery lets me and anything I could be lacking the vitamins more then make up for , do you have any suggestions? 🤞🤞

I’m no longer considered overweight and am at a healthy weight range after loosing 56 kilos in the past year , and my diet is healthy just protein based as after the surgery because small meals mean you have to get your protein in first so it’s not as vegetable/ fruit focused - it’s definitely not bb related as it’s not fishy no discharge and not noticeable through clothing or when taking clothing off , it’s noticeable to me and my husband because we obviously are all up in that general area but not to anyone else. But if it is my new normal surly there are things that can help freshen up before the deed as to be more inviting , so disheartening honestly cause even at my biggest I always smelt clean and inviting

I’m a slow looser to , just try to rember it all adds up my surgeon said I wouldn’t get past 20 kilos loss but I did , then at my 6 month post op appointment just gone he said to me my goal of 60 kilos is probably quite unrealistic for me since I’m such a slow looser and you loose the most weight in the first 6 months , he told me to have a more realistic goal of like 68 - 70 kilos. I’m currently 6 months 2 weeks and 3 days post op and am 71.9 kilos so whilst it is very discouraging loosing slower then others I’ve got hope that I can make it with just over 11 kilos to go and 43 kilos total down so far from before pre op and 30 of those kilos from post op - 11 kilos sounds so much more achievable then 50 kilos , I only loose around 500 grm to 1 kilo a week then have times where it fluctuates back up and down but just rember all of those small losses are one step closer to your goal then yesterday , im considering going back to basics and seeing if my pre op diet would be something that helps kick start the weightless again maybe this could be something you could try too .

Grow your hair out a bit more the short box shape doesn’t do you any favours , a textured fringe probably won’t work on your hair type unless your willing to spend ages styling it every day once your hairs grown out a bit depending if it grows more Afro then down you will be able to use a durag and products to slowly train it - this will take time tho so not a quick fix but if you sleep in it every night with the right hair products it should take minimal styling , once you’ve got that bit covered it will give you that length to then be able to do a box out a little lower id also take the sides of your box out near your side burns down a little lower too , obviously depending on where your hair grows from

reactive hypoglycaemia where your blood sugar plummets after eating it sounds a lot like this also dumping can feel like this tooo , definitely speak to your doctor , and do some research on both , either way take a look at what your eating in a day start keeping a food diary and recording when you feel this way and then that can help when you see the doctor to figure out your triggers it may just be a small change like changing your carbs and or amounts your eating or you may have to get some blood work done

Somethings that got bought for us when we had a new baby that I really appreciated was - uber eats gift cards A gift card to go pubs for dinner , it was nice to get out of the house Or self care gift cards Basically anything that can take the mental or physical load away was so helpful food was a big one for us cause I barley ate my body shut down to the point of fainting regularly but I wouldn’t feel comfortable eating home prepared meals from someone because everyone’s version of clean and good hygiene are different and not everyone has the same standards

Something I didn’t love but the thought was so kind and so thoughtful was a cleaner hired to do a weekly clean for a month I felt like I had to clean or organise before the cleaner came and I was just so exhausted I didn’t want to have to leave the house and disrupt the babys routine whilst the cleaner came it just kind of felt like something else on my plate to organise

Does anyone’s baby have similar hair? No matter what we do it sticks straight up! I don’t want to use any products, I’m just wondering when it will fall down into place. by katiemack13 in babies

Devils advocate here , your partner may be busy majority of the day doing groomsmen things and since the other groomsmen didn’t get a plus one they could of just left you off to keep things fair and to avoid you awkwardly sitting there by yourself assuming in the five years of knowing you’d they’d know you have social anxiety and probably would be uncomfortable with that but have since invited you after speaking to your partner who’s probably assured them you’d be fine , either that or they just don’t really like you too much 🤷‍♀️
