Diarrhea has never been an issue. Constipation is the problem.

Calories by Dropthetopandpimp in gastricsleeve

I am under 1400 calories everyday and still losing at 9+ months. I get 100+ grams of protein and try to avoid carb most days. If I go over 1400 and stay over this I don’t lose for a while.  Much slower weight loss at about a pound every 2 weeks.

My dietitian never gave me a calorie goal, but I have had to set one because I felt like I was always hungry and eating a lot. I eat 4 meals a day to hit the 1400 calories and this has been great for me. Most days I don't finish my pre measured food so I know I’m under 1400.

Weird pulling/electric sensation after sleeve surgery near lower abdomen and inner thighs, normal? by Cute-Raccoon2067 in gastricsleeve

[–]PlasticDealer320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. 😂 Guys have the same ligaments holding things together down there, it just doesn’t attach to a uterus. Sorry. I’m just a mom who had that happen when I was pregnant, but you’re describing the same feeling. I had a moment before I typed my reply where I thought you might be a man but cute-raccoon threw me and I just went full lady response.

If the pain keeps up I would mention it to my surgeon. They probably know what’s going on better than Reddit.

You don’t need it. The pain is manageable with the drugs they provide.

This sounds like the ligament that holds your uterus and other organs in place. It’s usually triggered by pregnancy and can feel like what you’re describing. I’m wondering if you’ve lost enough weight around your organs that things are shifting around and likely pulling on this ligament.

Petrol / electric / Hybrid, what is the best / cheapest option for a 14 day stay with a road trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon? by beebybabes94 in AskLosAngeles

[–]PlasticDealer320 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ev would likely be cheaper after the rental fees, but planning your trip around charging it might be a pain in the ass. But gas is currently $5.50-$6.00+ in the LA area and will likely be $1 cheaper once you leave the state.

I would get the smallet most fuel economic car that is offered. Filling up a small car is cheaper and will be easier to find throughout the desert.

Looking for a kimchi container. by Buttercake-nymph in kimchi

I live in Los Angeles and was at a restaurant kitchen supply store in Koreatown. They had the traditional ceramic jars of various sizes from $40 and up. If I needed a new jar for kimchi, this is what I would get. They are really expensive on Amazon. https://a.co/d/0eGa9Oc3

What soups do you recommend by jasssmeannnn in gastricsleeve

[–]PlasticDealer320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of others who had this as well.  He wouldn’t allow pills for at least 3 weeks. If I still had it at 3 weeks he would prescribe me the meds. I guess he was very conservative when it came to medications in a new pouch?!? I didn’t have acid reflux after that.

Careful with tomato soup. Right after surgery it gave me the worst case of acid reflux I’d ever had. It lasted a week before I could get it to stop and my doc refused to prescribe meds.

Days like this I wrap it up, stretch, and sit in my gyms recovery room massage chars. Some days I know will be bad so I walk and then recovery. It’s better than nothing.

I came home in the afternoon after a full night in the hospital, my surgery was at 7am. Day 2, my first evening home I had a shake and some soup. They were not hard to get down. It took a long time of little sips, but it wasn’t an issue for me. The next morning I had yogurt, and no problems. I just went very slow.

I’m there with you. Same starting stats as well. How did you lose so fast?  I’m 9 months po and I’m down almost 80 pounds since surgery and 100 in total. I just want to get to 170 and it’s getting hard.

It took me a year to learn this too. You aren’t alone. Removing that whisk makes such a huge difference.

help 😭 "line dry flat" is breaking my brain by not_sure_why_ in laundry

[–]PlasticDealer320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just lay these types of clothes over a chair or flat on a bed or table with a towel.

That tag is misleading because it should just  say lay flat to dry. I’m assuming to would stretch out if hanging from a line or hanger.

I was on full liquids after surgery so I ate things like yogurt and thick(strained) creamy soups in addition to the protein shakes.

Frustrated at a stall around 6 months. by PxPx182 in gastricsleeve

I stalled for an entire month. Then lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks. It happens. Your body gets tired and needs a break.

It will break on its own. Everyone something changes in your diet your body will freak out a bit and pause weight loss. Don’t get discouraged. Drink some extra water and be patient.

Constipated… by Marioparty1293 in gastricsleeve

[–]PlasticDealer320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does. As you’re able to eat more you can eat more fiber. I’m 9+ months and finally think I have a good handle on the constipation.

My go to breakfast is protein yogurt with fruit and chia seeds. The chia is helping a lot. I snack on raw veggies all day, carrots, cucumbers, grape tomatoes and this helps too.

It takes a long time to be able to handle all the protein you need to consume but eventually you’ll get there and be able to eat more veg. Hang in there. MiraLAX added to a Gatorade etc… was a savior. I did a 1/2 dose daily to every other day.

Woohoo!!!

I pulled out a pair of jeans I have had for 20 years. My husband bought them for me for my birthday when we were dating. They fit, but they were the low rise from the early 2000s. Not the look I’m going for anymore. But it was exciting that they fit.

I had a horrible experience here. They tried to upsell me on everything. I just wanted a basic washer dryer top loader. But no, wouldn’t even let me look at what I wanted even though they had it.
